Problem with CoM

Right well I'm having a strange problem with Children of Morrowind, at least I'm assuming its that mod. I'm trying to start a new game, and every time I go to exit the hatch out of the starting prison boat out into Seyda Neen I get this error:

Actor Animation problem with "1em child 23700000000"
This actor has no animation class!


And yeah I click "Ok" and it just exits. Initial googleing only yields some information about lowering my view distance settings, but I have done that and changed them to fairly low, yet it still gives this error. I've never used CoW before, so I'm not quite sure what's going on here....

Any help would be awesome.

I had the error when playing with ranges in MGE. From memory it's the AI range that you need to lower. So maybe try set AI to view distance or some such (sorry I've literally just finished rebuilding my PC and don't have anything else setup yet).

Its because the BSA archive is not registered to the ini file. Either use the bsa register program or do it manually in the ini file.

I ran the bsareg program that came with CoM, and it said that my .ini was up to date or something along those lines. I'll try it again, but yeah I've done that step as listed in the mod's readme.

For now I've just disabled CoM and moved on, so I'll figure it out later.

Just for my sanity, should I be running the bsareg program from the actual morrowind directory, or does it matter? IIRC, the readme didn't specify so I just ran it from where all of my morrowind mods are located on the desktop. :shrug:

The readme does say that it doesn't matter where you run the bsareg from, so yeah. That step was taken care of when I was attempting to play with it.

Okey got it fixed. Had to add that line under the Archieve section manually, apparently the bsareg program wasn't working.
