I have a problem crafting where even though i have all the required materials the build button is not active. I'm trying to use the workbench in sanctuary to build beds and such but can't use any of the stations available other than repairing my power armor. I've tried having the materials on my character and transferring materials to the workbench and neither method activates the build button. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Did you go into workshop mode and then to furniture to build a bed?

Try moving away from the crafting table to an area free of anything and an outline of the thing you want to build should appear. If I understand your problem correctly, this might help.
