Im getting the same problem here, the mission with objectives to sabotage the alien spear. After you've shocked yourself back to life, crawled and jumped up to the airlift the following story load screen leads to a game quit.
I've tried reinstalling the game and same problem. I hope downloading the game through EA Download Manager has not caused this problem and it can be easily fixed.
