Problem with custom race, disappearing head.

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 7:15 am

Just a quick question, which i assume has an easy answer though i can't find one on google.

I made a custom race, real simple it was just a personal combination of Nord and Breton so i could make myself...

I used better bodies and Westly's Master Headpack X for my parts.

Everything works fine. But i encountered a problem with becoming a vampire.

Even though i have DEFINATLY included vampire heads, with the correct race/gender selected in the CS and have made sure they are selected as Vampire heads, when i become a vampire my head just disappears completely.. leaving me with floating hairdoo and a pair of ears... ?_?

I personally can't think of why this is happening because i've made sure to include everything.

if you can help then please do

As u might notice from the screen, i also experimented with adding a vampire hair, so that my hair goes pale when i turn vampire.... i'm not sure if that could have affected it, i don't see why it would... but it didn't change my hairstyle when it beheaded me.

Vampire heads need to have their ID structured very specifically.
the vanilla ones look like this: b_v_argonian_f_head_01

I suggest keeping the "b_v_" prefix, and then follow the ID as close to vanilla as you can, according to the race/six you're using.

This is the common fix, but there might be another issue with your head also.

You didn't post a screen of the body part selected so I have to ask the obvious - is the head set to Vampire or is it set to normal ?
