This is my first post sorry if i do something wrong. On skyrim i have over 800 hours put in to my character and 201 mods with 236 plugins it's not a trivial thing to deactivate over 200 mods in groups of 2-3 each time going back in to the game to test if the problem is gone and to even delete the game and reinstall it. The nature of the problem or bug i have is an effect from a spell or armor that i cannot get rid of and at the moment the simplest way to detect if it's gone is to run around with no clothes on to get them to comment on that fact and not one npc does this. There is no one mod that is effecting my game it is an effect on my character i have deactivated all my mods to try and find the problem until i got to the point where i had no mods active and still have a problem i have used numerous console commands like (unequipall) (RemoveAllItems) (player.removespell) and even (player.resurrect 1) and none have helped. Simply put it is an effect from some armor or a spell or something else that i cannot find. I have been trying to fix this for a few days now and cannot even find the effect nor do i know what caused it. There are only 3 screenshots on my steam profile page ( same name as the one i have hear with a pic of stewie from family guy ) pics are of the effects that are left active and hidden on my character after deactivating all my mods sorry i don't know how to put them on this site. If anyone can help i will be very grateful

There are the screenies. You don't know the effect? Do you know the results of the effect? What do the npc usually say?

Deactivating all your mods won't necessarily determine anything as there are scripts and things still baked into the save.

What mods do you know alter player effects? Start with those maybe.

I had to unequip all my equipment to get out of a locked area in a mod i was playing every time i tried it kept telling me ( you are wearing equipment remove it to escape ) even though i had nothing on i was only able to escape by using a teleport spell that is how i found the problem. There is an effect like armor equiped on my character even when nvde and when i approach npc's none of them give me the put your clothes on comment or your naked that is how i know it is still effecting me.

I have used the script cleaner and removed all my orphan scripts

Does this happen on a previous save?

You did backup your saves before you used that script cleaner I hope. It is still possible there's something baked in the save,

What mod were you playing when this happened?

When you deactive your mods you really need to rename the scripts folder in the data folder. I would also rename the SKSE folder.

It almost sounds like there's hidden armor on you for a perk maybe?

I recently bought a new computer very powerful so i transfered my save files from my laptop and when i powered that up and tried some of those files it effects most of the saves i have going back hundreds of hours.

When you use the script cleaner it makes a copy of the save you chose so no need to backup in fact i was crashing and freezing every half hour or so until i used that and now i can go all day without crashing once.

Can you tel me why i would need to rename my scripts and skse folders i don't understand.
