problem with installing 1.9 patch Cannot delete target file

I get an error while trying to download and install patch 1.9
Cannot delete target file:
C:\Program files (x86)\ Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis
2\\bin32\Crysis2.exe

Maybe you got read-only on your .exe or any folder the .exe is inside. Try to check that. Also try to execute the patch as Administator, that also might fix things.
And obviously you shouldn't have Crysis 2 running in the background.
(To be honest, I have no clue, what it causes)

sounds like ur Crysis2.exe = a cracked.exe

reinstall the game

Start the game using the crysis2 launcher.exe not crysis2.exe.you will no longer get that error.

Tried using the crysis launcher and it still comes up with the error.

No, it's not a cracked EXE. I bought the game yesterday (waited until D11 was ready) installed it, updated to patch 1.8 no problem.... but today it won't install the 1.9 patch.

I'm having the same error message, see the following still:

My version is a hard copy limited edition. It's not pirated. I've tried running the patch as an administrator. I think it may have something to do with Crysis 2 being installed to a non-default directory.
