Problem with letting an npc sit

Greetings, and thank you in advance for your help.

I am making some falmer npcs, with the intent of them being able to talk , so I created a "customfalmerrace", based on the original, with mainly changing the ability to talk. My npcs are duplicated warmongers (not levelled but "normal npcs") and such, where I have set the actorbase to "NONE". Now all seems fine (besides them constantly scratching their backs during a "conversation encounter" which is annoying), but i seem to have a problem.

I can not make my falmer sit on a chair or use an alchemy table, which i intended for them to use. I have "linked referenced" the chair to sit on, and set the patrol data Idle time of the chair to 1 (with checking in the patrol data small window), but they simply do not sit. So,

my question is: Is it impossible to make a race like the falmer sit and use alchemical equipment and such (in which case obviously I will not fuddle around with it any further), or is it I who is doing something wrong?
