Hey,

I'm playing Oblivion on an xbox 360, and in fact, I have completely disregarded all my other games since I got it (I've logged ~85 hours in about a month, which makes me feel more ashamed than anything else).

Anyway, I'm having a problem with the Siren's Deception Quest in Anvil. I'm supposed to go to the Flowing Bowl. First I just went there, hung out, waited. Then, realizing nothing was hapenning, I looked at the wiki. It says I'm supposed to be seduced by two female members of the gang (I'm a male character). The problem is, no matter how long I wait, what time I go there, etc, etc, they NEVER show up.

I'm POSITIVE I did not kill them before. In fact, I've only murdered 3 or 4 people in the whole game. It seems like the quest yields some nice booty, so I want to complete it badly. Any ideas why this glitch is occuring? I've tied going back to the Flowing Bowl again and again, on different days, etc... Any ideas?

And you've already spoke to Gogan?

I didn't think I necessarily had to. And that's the other thing. I spoke to his wife. I'm supposed to find Gogan at the Flowing Bowl, right? He's not there. Or is he just walking around town?

Talk to his wife, then talk to him, then head to the seedy tavern.

You can find him at his home. IIRC it's very near the dock gate.

Did you wait for them while seated in the tavern? Perhaps you stood around. After seating yourself, they appear rather promptly.

well you should see grogan first. hes usually at his house and his door is open at night. He can sometimes befound around town.Make sure the quest is in active quest and just follow your waypoint to him.

Talk to Gogan's wife first, then talk to Gogan himself. This glitch happened to me too. Waited and friggin waited. Went back to Gogan, and after the second time we talked, then everyone showed up like they should, but iirc, had to talk to the innkeeper as well before the women approached me with their thoughts... The quest starts there, but you must travel somewhere else to really get it on. Hope this helps.


btw, Gogan was always in the same room as his wife for me.

The wife does move around town during the day but Gogan is always at the house.

I've run into another problem with this quest I'm curious if others have encountered it.

I had been RPing a holy knight preparing for KoTN. Anyway I did Siren's desception up to the point where you enter the farm and talk to Faustina. My character didn't want to kill if it could be avoided . So i didn't just out and attack her, i watied and the other two attacked and I responded. Faustina however still stood there not attacking and had the same dialogue. So I leave it be go downstairs and pick up the items to return to their owners come back up and of course Gogan and Malona haven't showed up since they're not all dead.

Well I didn't have a frenzy spell so I whacked Fuastina and got the usual DB message and thel ast thing I wanted was a visit from Lucian Lachance. So I loaded and used the console to kill her.

Anyone else seen it happen where she just stands there and doesn't 'draw'

I normally talk to Gogan's wife seated near the main gate to Anvil. Then follow my arrow to go see Gogan. Then follow my arrow to the tavern to meet the girls. Then appear at the farm house on time and go in. I have never had a problem up to that point.

Once inside the farmhouse, I have found if I attack the first girl as soon as she goes hostile, I will often get a murder assigned. If however, I let her and her friends actually start the fight and hit me a couple times before I counter attack, it avoids the murder charge.

I have read that sometimes the game has a slight delay from when someone who is going to become hostile finishes talking to you and when the game actually registers them as hostile. That explanation seems consistent with my experience. I have had the same thing happen in another similar quest situation - I have been able to resolve that other quest the same way. I must say I never managed to find Gogan, I broke into his house and he wasn't there. I left that quest unsolved long ago. But, I could try again though. I just couldn't find Gogan anywhere.

i got in the bulding and the girls wont show up and i am stuck in side and idlas?

That's what wiki has to say abou this quest. If you mean you're locked in the farmhouse I'm afraid you're SOL. There isn't a key, except maybe on the girls who aren't showing up.

Gogan is... standing right next to his wife. Talk to her, talk to him. Go to tavern. Get hit on. Meet at midnight then beat on some girls.

I talked to the wife. Talked to Gogan. Went to the tavern and I get attacked every time. Went in with no weapons equipped and still got attacked. Went back to an earlier save, talked to Gogan, talked to his wife, came back to talk to Gogan, and went back to the Tavern and.....got attacked again. So, I killed both women, got a unique blade, did my time in jail and still had the unique weapon when it was over. I was wasting too much time on this quest and needed to move on.
