A problem with the Fallout Demo

Post » Tue Feb 23, 2010 11:21 am

Hello, I downloaded the Fallout demo from Fileplanet & extracted it, but whenever I try to run it I get a message that says,
"An privilaged instruction was executed at address 0046bfd5. Click on ok to terminate the program"

I have WinXP, can I run this? Do I need DOSbox?

Do you have Admin privileges?
It sounds like you need them to install the demo, which isn't that unlikely.

I am pretty sure you don't install it.

Quite old topic, but maybe someone else will encounter this problem and search here for the solution.
Just right-click the Fallout-Logo, go to the lowest point (i don?t now how it?s called in english, sorry) and run the programm in the compabilty-mode for Windows 95. I hope you undertsand a word i say and it works.
