problem with WMK

I've tried adding some wmkits to my operation anchorage weps and I get the following error message...

"Your currently equipped weapon cannot be modified"

This message I receive when trying to modify the:

Alloy Steel Assault Rifle
Chinese Dragoon Assault Rifle and
Chinese Dragoon Pistol

Haven't tried the Gauss rifle yet. Based on the readme for anchorage and other DLC's these weapons are modifiable. And I also have all available types of mod kits to experiment with. Normal FO3 weps seem to be fine as far as adding the kits are concerned.

Now I know for a fact that I have the DLC's installed properly...obviously as I've played them. I have also properly installed WMK (as far as I know) and the appropriate addons for DLC's and also replaced the FOIP's patches to overwrite the relevant addon esps and so on. I was rather anol when installing all this stuff and posted a fair bit to make sure I was doing it right and also in the correct order. :)

I have the most recent version of FOSE installed and have also done the FO3Edit merged patch and masterupdate.

Those three weapons intentionally can't be modded, no problem or mystery here.

Hello Kai....somehow you seem to be my personal lifeguard with all questions FO3 related. Firstly I'd like to say on behalf of myself and probably an amazing amount of other people on these forums....thank you very much for your timely responses and help. It is always welcome and most appreciated.

Secondly, I guess because of the damage the weps do I can understand that they can't be modded. My only question is ofc, why then in the readmes does it say they can be modified?

And is there somewhere an updated list of exactly which weps from which DLC's can and cannot be modified? Because the readmes leave me to believe that quite a few can when perhaps the 3 weapons I listed above may not be the exception.

You need to look into the readme from the WMK-FWE FOIP patch, it says what DLC weaps can be modded.

Awesome and thanks again. And there was my problem. I was looking at the actual WMK readmes (and although I replaced the wmk esps with the foip ones) and forgot to look at the foip ones. My bad. Cheers.
