No problems (almost) on PS3 - anyone else?

for me PC runs beautifully I completed the game twice and just like you only 4 crashes and minor bugs, a few that made me laugh

Ummm....this is a PS3 issues forum. It's wonderful; that you have had few issues with your PC version but sadly your experience has absolutely nothing to offer for those of us who bought a totally worthless game for our PS3. I'm not sure why you took the time to browse this section of the forum at all and I'm even more perplexed as to why you would have responded to a thread pertaining to the PS2 version when clearly you have nothing useful to offer to anyone here. Maybe you would have more to offer with your post if you actually went to the PC area of this forum.

@ OP, all I can say is...just wait! I played for quite a while with absolutely no problems on my PS3 and was wondering what all the complaining was about. Then one day, out of the blue my game went to Hell. I traded Veronica for Cass as a companion and now any time I try to get into the strip I freeze up. Essentially what this has done is caused all the time I invested in the game to be a complete and total waste of time. Everything I've done in game until this point was eliminated into a useless pile of poo in a split seconds time.

Now I'm sure you're thinking "it won't happen to me" and I hope you're right, but if it does I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised. Like I said, I played for quite a long time and was at the point where I had to make a decision which side I was going to take in the battle to come, I had already made public enemy #1 of myself with the Legion and now I will never know what would have happened until a patch is released. It's a terrible shame that this company put out garbage like this and called it a final release. If you ask me it doesn't even deserve the title of beta version.

WHOA WHOA WHOA!!! Calm down man! No one is judging you for being torqued about the current state of the game. I was talking about hate against the PS3 specifically. For some reason people want to claim that the hardware is at issue when it is a simple case of software error. Yeah NV is in piss poor condition for a huge chunk of us. Not all but a good portion. Yeah Obsidian needs to step up and fix this...or really lose the support of the fans. Bethesda isn't really at fault here other than being the publisher. The Devs should be the ones to feel the venom man. Even then...keep it civil. Things could be much much worse.

YA this is definitely a software issue and it's totally the developers fault. Those who use this issue to support some fraudulent belief that the PS3 is crap are simply uninformed and ignorant of the issue.

I have to disagree that Bethesda is off the hook on this one though. While they may not have developed the game they are the publishers and they have a responsibility to ensure a quality product. Obsidian may be the ones responsible for the PS3 version being a piece of crap but I have no intention of letting Bethesda go on this one. Their fault with this lies in the fact that they neglected to ensure we all received a quality product. Are they so irresponsible as to just throw their name on anything without ever taking a look at it for themselves? In this case I have to say the answer is yes. If I were putting my name on a product I would be damned sure it worked before selling it to consumers. Especially when many of those consumers are are long time, loyal fans of my products.

This WILL be the last product I ever buy from either Obsidian or Bethesda! The lack of quality from Obsidian is unacceptable and the lack of responsibility on the part of Bethesda has seriously diminished my faith and belief in both companies. The lack of support and the extreme delay in fixing these issues tells me that neither company cares much for their customers or whether they receive repeat business from them. Both companies should be totally embarrassed by the product they have sold to us and they should be doing everything they can to make it up to us all and yet it appears as though they have given no sense of urgency to this matter at all.

Nope...I won't be buying any more products from either of these companies any time soon. And when...no, IF...I ever do buy anything from either of them it most definitely won't be right after release. No, I will wait it out next time, I'll wait to see how other's experiences are going. And even then, I will never pay full release day price for anything from them...I'll wait until the inevitable price drop comes. Because that's what happens with garbage games....they drop the price...quickly. It's a shame that we won't likely have a working game with FONV until after the first (or 2nd) price drop happens.
