I recently got FO1, FO2, and Tactics, so I excitedly start up FO1. Game starts, and some things look like multicolored pixels. No big deal, I tell myself, so I start up a game. Within a few seconds, the entire character creation screen turns into those multicolored pixels. Exited, started up FO2, and the same thing. Tried running both with varying compatibility settings, still no good. Started up Tactics, and it runs just fine, with no hint of the problems I face with the other two. Is there something I can do to fix this debilitating problem?

Download resolution patches. Or alternatively, open the screen resolution (or something like that) menu from the desktop prior launching the game.
