I bought the fallout classic collection the other day and installed the games. Both 1 and 2 work fine but when I try to run tactics, I get an error saying it can't find mss32.dll cannot be found. I checked the folders and the file is in fact not there. Seeing this I tried getting a download of mss32.dll but apparently the one I got didn't have what I needed because I then got an error that it was missing some sound thing. Tried running the installer again to reinstall it before that, which also didn't help. Downloaded the patch I found in this site as well. Is there any place I can get what I need, or way to fix this?


ps. on windows xp in the case it ends up being at all relevant.

Can you post the exact sound error if possible?

Edit: And where did you get the dll from?

Had to go get the file again to see the error, thats why I didn't put it the first time. Seems my memory was a bit off, it actually said:

BOS.exe - Entry Point Not Found

The procedure entry point _AIL_set_sample_volume@8 could not be located in the dll mss32.dll

the file came from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?mss32 because I seen it linked to as a source in a couple other topics with similar problems with FOT on other boards.
