I need you help because the Internet wasn't able to help me at all. I've got the following Problem:

Arcade Gannon is my first and most favourite companion. He traveled with me a long time, but I had to leave him at the followers to join with Cassady in order to complete the quest for the Van Graffs.

Before I left him, I made sure that I can recruit him again after I left him and that he will still have the items I gave him.

After I checked this, i picked up Cassady and brought her to the Van Graffs. I also did the following Van Graff quest in which the Van Graffs betrayed the Legion in a trade.

Following I returned to Arcade Gannon to recruit him again, but this is not possible. He doesn't give me any option when I talk with him to join me.

I checked the Internet, but I didn't do anything that could've scare him or something like that. Is it maybe because im still in companie with Rex (that didn't bother any of the other companions) or is it maybe because I already re-recruited him to check if it is possible and if he still got the items?

It would be very great if somebody can help me, maybe with the console or something like that.

Has your rep with the Legion gone up?

No my reputation with the Legion hasn't changed at all. The only time I faced the Legion when he wasn't with me, was in the mission where the Van Graffs betrayed the Legion in a trade.

But I didn't do anything in that mission that could've changed my reputation. Even when the RNK-Soldiers invaded the trade to kill the Legion I just stood still and did nothing because I didn't want to have a bad reputation with the Legion when I shoot them (I don't want to be a friend with the Legion to keep my foreigners. But I am also not interested in a bad reputation with them as long as possible so that they won't shoot me when they see me. I just try to stay at "neutral" and this status of reputation was not a problem for foreigners like Arcade Gannon).

So nothing changed at all and I am still not able to re-recruit him

Ok i think I found the point where Arcade doesn't want to follow me anymore.

When you team up with Cassady you can choose what you want to do next. You can help Cassady by searching for her lost caravans and after that you have to steal evidence from the Red Caravan and from the Van Graffs to proove that she was betrayed. But this will normally lead to a bad reputation with the RNK and your rewards are I think a little bit of money and an extra for Cassady as your follower.

But this is just crap because I want to side with the RNK and I don't want Cassady as my follower, so I decided to just simply bring her to the Van Graffs where she gets killed and because you did your Job, you will get the next Van Graff mission (you won't get this mission If you help Cassady and steal evidence aggainst the Caravan and the Van Graffs).

So here comes the point that changes everything:

If I go to Arcade right before I go to the Van Graffs and let them kill Cassady, he will still give me the option to follow me.

But when I go to the Van Graffs and let them kill Cassady, Arcade doesn't give me this option anymore, even if I don't do the next Mission for the Van Graffs with the Legion.

So yea, thats pretty much f... up. There seems to be no way out without loosing either Arcade or reputation with the caravan and the RNK and also additional missions for the Van Graffs.

I don't even know If I can still team up with any fellower. Maybe the game still thinks that I have a follower or something like that, It's just stupid....

Is there anything I can do? Whats your experiences with this mission?

If Cassidy is getting killed, then you have not dismissed her. This is why Arcade does not give you any options to recruit him. Go to the GRA (or the Lucky38 Lobby) and use the Companion Dismissal Terminal. It was added to the game by The Gun Runners Arsenal for just this reason.

Because I thoght that this problem was based on my decision to kill Cass, I downloaded a Mod that gave me the option to lie to the Van Graffs. That way I was able to save Cass and I got the next Van Graff mission.

But even that didn't helped me, because even when I sayed to Cass that she can go home, I wasn't able to team up with Arcane. There must be a bug or something that caused this.

So I tried your suggestion and it worked. I got all I wanted and in addition to that I saved Cass for maybe later.
