Problems with GNR more where that came from mod

Post » Sat Dec 25, 2010 12:40 am

I'm having problems with gnr more where that came from mod. First off gnr will just stop playing music, every other radio station will still work. Second some radios found will not sinc up to the pipboy radio so there's a delay in between the two. Can someone help me fix these problems?

The delay seems to be normal. I've had that happen quite often when entering a cell with a running radio or when just turning a radio on. I think it's because the Pip-boy plays MP3s and the radios play WAV files. I think.

For the other one, re-check your installation and maybe try downloading the wavpack that's available if you haven't already. I've heard of that problem before, but I know it's fixable.

Some time ago I believe Madcat found a solution to this problem. http://www.mp3tag.de/en/. It involves something about stripping thing metadata from the file, sorry I can't be much more help, I haven't done it in a while, but when done properly it works great.

For best results in getting this mod to work, you should download ALL of the files available (all 100 songs) and use only one ESP (100ESP). As for your other problem, the solution is in my previous post, it really does work.

I don't really want 80 extra songs though.

It's your choice of course, but you are missing out on a ton of great tunes.

Anyway, this is from the nexus: " If you only one to add 20 new songs to your game, just download Track Packs 1 and 2 and use GalaxyNewsRadio[M]20.esp"

Uh how is that going to fix the issue? That's just how you normally install the mod.

If you only want to use 20 songs, then use only the GalaxyNewsRadio[M]20.esp. If you use any of the other ESP's, the mod will not function properly, which is why I personally use the entire pack.

I never got it to sync up properly either. Play your pip version and turn on a radio and you get a lag on one or the other. Forgot which.

I would have to reload a game save to get it to work. It stopped flat and just didn't play anymore often. Weird thing is though. I could enter my pip radio. Turn it on and dead. Turn it off and the music for a fraction of a second would be heard =/

Pissed me off naturally as it was technically playing but never made it audible to the player. So i deleted it. 1 less gig. Want it though....just can't get it up and running.
