Problems with a mod

Last night I downloaded, "Passing time while reading" mod and I cant seem to get it to work. In Wyre Mash it shows the mod as green, however when I read a book no time passes

Are you using the Steam version of the game? If so, have your BSAs been redated back to 2002 or prior?

This mod attaches a new script to each book in the game, and if the date of your BSAs is newer than the mod's ESP, the BSAs will undo any changes this mod makes.

Edit: since the BSAs don't have the script records (the ESMs do), I'm not sure if this would actually be the problem.

How do you know no time has passed? What method are you using to check game time?

I would hit the T to check, I have even read books that are about 19ish pages last night and the time was still the same as when I started to read the book. I had the jacket and book rotate mods as well but they did not work so I deleted them. Not sure if thats screwing up anything the rest of my mods work fine

Can you post your load order and warnings.txt file? I've used that mod for years and haven't had any problems with it, but then again, I haven't run it with every combination of mods either.

Um, before we get into that, Jac reminded me his mod doesn't work on mod-added or altered books. The only mods he made patches for are Book Jackets and Book Rotate. What book(s) have you tried it on?

Which three mods? Jac has released more than three. First of all, if you installed Jac's Book Rotate/Book Jackets patch esps and then removed those mods, you need to make sure you don't have the patched esp(s) checked. Second, which books have you tried? Not even all the books in Jac's own mods will work with Passing Time. It only works with original vanilla books.

Another thing to remember is that time won't pass unless you're reading the books in your inventory. Books that are laying about the world won't advance the game clock. This was a design decision so that one could look at books and pick them up without having to worry about the game clock increasing.
