Problems with Perks in F:NV

Requirements do not match up with the effects they have in some perks.

I have been playing Fallout (1 and 2 on PC, 3 and NV on Xbox 360) for a long time. I've enjoyed each of the games I've played for the most part. I understand that, being a software based game (as opposed to table top/pin and paper), glitches are inevitable. However, this is not about the freezing up, clipping, lost NPCs, random hostility, et cetera.

Perks/Requirements and Effects of Perks

Super Slam: ST 6, Melee Weapons 45 All melee (except thrown) and unarmed attacks have a chance of knocking your target down.

This perk affects both the Melee and the Unarmed skills. I understand why the SPECIAL attribute is part of the requirement, but shouldn't the second part of the perk requirement be something like "Melee Weapons 45 OR Unarmed 45" or something similar?

Piercing Strike: Unarmed 70 All your unarmed and melee attacks negate 15 points of DT.

Once again, this perk affects both Melee and Unarmed. I understand why the skill requirement is at 70, but shouldn't it have an option for Melee based characters? Why punish people for choosing Melee? Like I mentioned before, how about, "Unarmed 70 OR Melee 70" or something comparable?

Pyromaniac: Explosives 60 +50% Damage with fire-based weapons.

The Flamethrower, Incinerator, Heavy Incinerator and Shishkebob are all either Energy or Melee weapons. Energy and/or Melee based characters are usually focused on just that-- Energy or Melee. Why require such a high level of skill for something that's not even related? I would suggest, "Explosives 60 OR Energy Weapons 60 OR Melee Weapons 60" or something similar.

Unstoppable Force: ST 7, Melee Weapons 90 You do additional damage through enemy blocks with melee and unarmed attacks.

Again, why not make it, "Melee Weapons 90 OR Unarmed 90" so that only one combat skill needs to be augmented. This is much more of an issue in Fallout: New Vegas because there are significantly less skill points throughout the entire game.

Ninja: Melee Weapons 80, Sneak 80 +15% (15 luck skill) critical chance with melee and unarmed weapons, +25% damage with melee/unarmed sneak attack criticals.

Please, just modify it so that the requirements fit the effects! For this one, I would strongly recommend, "Sneak 80, Melee Weapons 80 OR Unarmed 80" since the Sneak skill is necessary for both combat skills.

Slayer: AG 7, Unarmed 90 The speed of all your melee and unarmed attacks is increased by 30%.

This affects two combat skills so why not reflect that in the requirements? One option for this that would work is, "AG 7, Unarmed 90 OR Melee 90"

Bethesda, please take this into consideration. I have really enjoyed Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and I still enjoy Fallout: New Vegas. It was probably not the best idea to use the same game engine as the one in TES 4: Oblivion for Fallout 3 but it was even worse for a game as big as Fallout: New Vegas.

When you're not too busy fixing the major software issues that effect the playability of the game itself, please try to make the perks work.
