Problems with Realistic Needs and Diseases

Hey everybody, When I first started using RN&D all the different foods had very useful values, but now it seems that those values have all been taken away for whatever reason.

What used to be was that most foods either had a restore stamina or health effect some foods boosted skills while others had this or that combination of effects that made getting a large variety of foods much more interesting. Now days however, there are only a handful of foods that do anything and they are not that useful at all. It takes the fun out of foraging and making meals with rare ingrediants if you get the same effect as a venison steak... I dont know if this is a load order issue or what, but I would really like to get all those effects back.

Also, if anyone knows how to remove salt from meats that would be great too. Soups and Stews I can understand needing salt, but just meat? That makes most foods impractical because there just isnt enough salt in the world to make a dozen tiny meals to feed you for a few hours...

RND removes all not satiation related effects from food. So you likely had a conflict or different patch installed before all the effects went away.

Having re-read OP . . . I am not sure I'm having a similar issue. I think I probably am not; but I'd like to clarify.

Let's take for example "milk." This adds 20 health for about 300 seconds (working from memory here so bear with me)

Herbal tea (might be fruit tea) boosts speech by about +15 for 90 seconds or so.

Those are the only two I can remember for sure, but there are a lot of dishes (well, 6 to 10 at least) which provide boosts to things like health, perhaps even some that boost (fortify) stamina or magicka. But yeah, mostly they just "aid stamina recovery." The majority of foods have only that effect.

Some of the drinks have some extra effects like "Warms you right up," or "Gets you focused and warms you right up."

Are you saying that even these effects are no longer showing up for you?

Or are you saying that, you recall an earlier set of effects that was even more extensive?

If you are like me, and go for long periods without playing Skyrim and also have a tendency to try out new mods, then it just might be you are confusing RND with some other mod. I seem to recall having a food mod installed (long before RND was made, or at least before I was aware of it) which added a lot of new dishes and interesting (and in some cases OP) effects from dishes. It also added an alternative form of salt for cooking so that there was no competition between salt for alchemy and cooking.
