Processor Requirements

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 2:04 am

So I am about to buy Fallout 4 on PC and checked the minimum and recommended specs to play the game. My laptop meets and exceeds many of the requirements, yet my processor falls short in ghz ( I have an Intel i7 - 4710 MQ @2.50 ghz ). Since the minimum processor is an i5, does this mean my processor will be able to run the game despite falling short in ghz? Also, I did a little research and it may be worthy to note that it is able to overclock to 3.50 ghz (although I have never done this, and frankly I'm not sure how). I appreciate any help!

You should be okay - that CPU exceeds the minimum requirements even with the slower clock speed.

With regard to overclocking, do not even attempt it until you do some homework. You can fry your whole system if you don't know what you're doing.

I meet all the requirements but my processor is a Intel? Core? i7-4700HQ CPU@ 2.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.4GHz

The processor has gone up to speeds 3.20 plus.
