[WIP] My projects

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 8:11 am

Hello all,

As the title explains I am making this thread so that you can give me critisism and help about the things I make. The reason for that is that I'm quite terrible at judging if something looks good and also because I just like to hear the different ideas you all have.

These are the things I'm currently working on.:

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q201/xzibitionair/Wight-1.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q201/xzibitionair/Staff.jpg
Lich based creature.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q201/xzibitionair/GladiatorWIP2.jpg
A new armor for the Arena, eventually there will be more different versions.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q201/xzibitionair/Armor7.jpg
New Elven armor.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q201/xzibitionair/Cyclop-1.jpg
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q201/xzibitionair/Warclub.jpg
I saw a cyclop on the Nexus, and with no disrespect to the maker, it wasn't quite my taste.
Also I always wanted cyclopes in Oblivion. So I took a shot at making one.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q201/xzibitionair/ImperialArmor-1.jpg
Imperial Armor from Morrowind.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q201/xzibitionair/Minions.jpg/http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q201/xzibitionair/PoisonMinionDetail.jpg
Several creatures.

http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q201/xzibitionair/Mdagon.jpg
For the Gatekeeper skeleton.

Tell me all what you think and anything else you want to say.

Cheers,

X.

I really like the King of Order and Fantasy Dwarven Armor. My only complaint with the Dwarven gear is the helmet. But that's a minor grip.

I love the Gladiator armor and have a question...cause I'm a girl and all my toons are girls. :D Any plans of making a female friendly version of it? Not a request, just curious. There are a lot of wicked armors that are male only. My toons get depressed sometimes. :lmao:

I love the Wight creature, would love to see it as a creature in one of the overhaul mods.

Also, I could see King of Order variant of the Priest of Order set being used for some named SI bosses maybe...

Overall, great work, keep it up! :tops:

Couldn't have put it better myself. I really enjoy mods that add new, tougher enemies to the game, so I'd REALLY like to see the Wight and Order King, but the armor and gear has me intrigued too.

To be perfectly honest, I find the Dwarven armor to be really unattractive. I think the model is well-executed, but poorly conceived; to my eye, it appears as an awkward, clumsy mishmash- especially the boots. Mm, yeah, not my cup of tea. But then again, "Dr Cool" liked it, so take my opinion for what it's worth.

That said, I really like the rest of it, especially the gladiator armor! :goodjob: I'm excited to see the final, tweaked versions!

Removed the Dwarven Armor for now as it is undergoing some major chages. But in place there's the Umbra sword replacement.

PS. Any ideas how can make a picture of a model with the texture instead of NifSkope? You can't really see any of the Dark Brotherhood stuff because it's black clothing on a black background.

I like the Umbra, though the blade texture needs a bit more detail. Looks a bit stretched due to the blade size differences. Still would be nice to use :)

Looking good, I just hope you decide not to replace the Umbra. Why don't you just make that a completely new sword?

Well, I can make an alternate .esp which doesn't replace Umbra but puts it somewhere as a seperate weapon.

Does anyone has some kind of request for any changes to Vanilla OB/SI/DLC content? I'm trying to work on my modelling but I need something simple to start with. Any ideas?

How about another Daedric item, say Volendrung or Ebony Blade :D

Isn't every Daedric artifact already either in the game or already remade?

Yup, though having them a bit more unique like what you did for Umbra would be nice. Maybe one of the artifacts that is not present in OB?

I really like the Legion helmets, Gladiator outfit, and king of order robe.

The new Umbra model is really good too, but I personally like the one that comes with mighty Umbra best.

The Wight creature is good, but not to my tastes. But that's just me. I recognize that it is very good work though. :goodjob:

Thank you! ^_^

Of course it's a matter of taste, Mighty Umbra is a bit too over-the-top for my taste. It's a nice sword by itself, but in my opinion doesn't really match the style of the Elder Scrolls game.

Again thank you. Can you explain why you don't like it?

No problem.

I guess Ebony Blade can use some changes. I'll start with that.

Please, is there anyone that can give me a program where I can make full-screen shots of the models? NifSkope just doesn't do the trick.
