Promotional Nuka-Cola

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 6:25 pm

I read that a RL Nuka-Cola was given out to journalists before Fallout 3 was released and to some people at the 2008 E3 event. You can check it out here: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_promotional_item#Nuka-Cola_bottle

My question is: Who made the "Nuka-Cola" I mean, some brewery have had to make it, but who? I'm curious as to whether it was a Coca-Cola brewery or someone else? I would be pretty cool if Coca-Cola was in on the whole Nuka-Cola thing. For them, publicity is always good, but the Nuka-Cola Corporation in the games aren't exactly angels when it comes to Research, Development and Marketing.

I still think Cocacola should still work with Fallout and make Nukacola and Nukacola Quantum. Obviously not irradiated. But just a publicity item.

There's templates for Nuka-Cola caps and Nuka-Cola labels for old Coke bottles, easy to make, all you need is the bottles and sticker paper

I think they were homemade as Conner suggested.

IIRC, it was a company that makes specialty sodas for gifting occasions and whatnot. Hungry Donner once gave a link to the site but I can't remember what it was.

Side note - I'm pretty sure that there couldn't possibly be enough Nuka-Cola bottlecaps for all the currency uses. Maybe other bottlecaps would be used as well? Other soda types and beer, for instance. A bottlecap's a bottlecap, after all.

If I do recall correctly, a long time ago somebody made a thread called Real Life Modding and they had a bunch of photos of old fashioned type coke bottles that they took the label off and replace them with nuka-cola labels they made, and a pipboy watch and so on. I can't find it right now though.

If you drink a beer or nuke coke in the game you should get the bottle cap from the bottle.
