Promulgating SSE !

So,

How do we think SSE will be introduced to the world at large?

Big Tv ad or trailer?

Centrefold Spread in gaming press etc

Top charting shelf in Supermarket games aisle?

Or will it sneak in quietly un-noticed, except in dedicated gaming forums like this?

Cos so far with just a month to go....its still invisible to joe public

I think it will be more middle of the road. It's not going to top any charts or anything due to the game being 5 years old and the dustup regarding PS mods but I don't think it will be a complete flop either.

Um....to be clear....I wasn't questioning how popular it would be...like how well it will sell.

It was more a question of....HOW will the general public be told about its existence

Because at the moment its largely invisible beyond Skyrim enthusiasts

I had assumed the video they already did was the introduction.

Well I hope they have something more high profile than just an E3 video on "you tube" to get the message out to the general public

WE know if it cos we are HERE

Avid gamers who cruise the spectrum of available games weekly can't miss it of course

But what about everybody else?

Will it be a feature in the xbox and PS gaming magazines plus the independant publishers?

Will we get an international television ad like we did for the initial Skyrim release?

Other thoughts?

none of those most likely.. your not going to get the whole "newest entry in the acclaimed series" marketing for a rerelease of a 5 year old game that most people have already played or at least heard of

They may not do anything beyond a few clickies on websites. They are already set to make bank from just the fanbase again (though the "no mods on PS4" thing is probably going to hurt the sales for that version), and let's be real, anything extra they make beyond that is just gravy to them.
