Guys pay close attention to my comment.. I have proof of false advertisemant by bethesda! If you read the back of the ps3 box it says it will play in 1080i.. Guess what? Its b.s ... Everyone try it for yourself! So this means you are stuck with 720p? Wrong again! They dumned down the graphics even more! Look at the items in your inventory such as plants,food items,herbs and u will notice they look bigger and more pixelated! They are ""getto rigging"" the game!!

As far as I know, this game has been advertised on the net to only support 720p,even way before its official release date.

I actually bought Skyrim for PS3 because of the 1080i promise. Yes, I know it was a stupid decision but I made it. I can handle 720p, but the graphics totally svck on this game. The flipping shadows, for one. Also, I notice the detail on Lydia's armour changes all the time. Sometimes it's detailed. Sometimes it's blurry and blocky.

Not sure what is up with this game. I can only best describe it as half finished, which is the worse kind of false advertising I can think of.

BTW: The U.S. box says 1080i. I realize now this must have been a misprint, but I still bought it because of that.

Every game says that, its not bethesda its sony, so don't go blaming them for something they have no control over, sony puts that on all their boxes just to show the game can be upscaled to 1080.

It's a misprint. If you bought the game on the premise of it supporting 1080i/p, then you have a right to return the game on those grounds. Most of us, however, knew the game was 720p before pre-ordering it. Believe me, I have no reason at all to give Bethesda any kind of good word and believe they'll probably burn in hell for the stuff they've done for money.

Personally, I can't really tell the difference between 720 and 1080...I don't buy games because they have HD graphics ^.^'

It's a misprint that could be traced back to any number of sources as the cause. It was misleading and may be a valid basis for returning the game for a refund, but don't fool yourself into believing you have some kind of valid false-advertising lawsuit here.

To be fair, the game looks perfectly fine in 720p. When I walked into Bleakfalls Barrow, it literally took my breath away.

But the choppy, blocky, blurred, flat, flipping, stuttering graphics svck, regardless of the resolution.

Do you mean that your TV has a max resolution of 1080i? Both of mine are 1080p and I cannot force the game into 1080i no matter what I try.

1080i is pointless for games, its more for things under 30 fps, like movies and tv shows.

Yeah it says 1080i on my box. Don't think it's Sony cuz my other ps3 games say 720p. Weird.

1. 1080i is rarely if ever used. 1080p surpasses it. If it really does say 1080i, then it is more then likely a mistype. But either way 1080 just refers to the screen display resolution of 1920x1080.

2. They are refering to display resolution of the screen. The pixelated graphics are in part do to the console processing ability, lacking memory (Only 512MB), and lack of Anti-Aliasing (Pixelated edge smoothing)

I can't say about the normal game box for PS3 but the collectors edition box for PS3 that I got says 720p.

720p on back of my Skyrim. Proof no longer proof but lies.

It seems to me, you are looking for something, anything to start a lawsuit against Bethesda. It is a minor misprint and and civil action against them will not hold up. If they sold the game and said it is 1080 and made all these claims about 1080 blah blah blah, then you would have a leg to stand on.

It seems you are unhappy with the game, unhappy with the company. Here is my suggestion. Stop buying their products. Give your money to another company you can be happy with.

I've noticed so many people on this forum complain about this game and this company. REALLY? Then sell the game and move on. If you don't like it, then don't support Bethesda. I've read most of the complaints and so many of them are childish in nature. If a person were upset about Oblivion, upset about Fallout and disgusted about Fallout New Vegas, then why on earth did you spend your money on this game?

There is not a game developer on this planet that can produce a 100% perfect game as complex and as in depth as Skryim, Fallout etc etc. These games are complex and takes years to develop. They are human and they will miss something, their will be a glitch.

Well guess what? It takes Honda and GM years to develop a car and then guess what happens? Recall after Recall after Recall. What do you do? You keep buying Honda and GM and Ford. So stop supporting them.

Like I said, I've read alot of complaints on this forum, but this tops the list on the childish list. Please sell the game and move on.
