Proof

Hey guys,

I know it doesnt say the name here but this is "Eroc Iz Legit" now known as "UnknownSoldier" with his 70 kills he posted on our facebook group. Maybe he has a small tv or maybe he just cared more about the 70 kills and wanted to get up close to show it more clearly or whatever the situation is but we clearly know it is Crysis 3 and we clearly see the score so just deal with it.....(ok Stevo?)

Quote from Gama in his first post......."As of right now only 2 players were able to hit the 70 kill mark. GAMA and Eroc Iz Legit but i had proof idk about him. I just heard rumors. So if anyone says they got an insane amount of kills make sure u have proof just as i did :)"

So here's your proof.

Not going to get into a huge debate again, or even state my personal opinion regarding validity either way, but it is interesting both players cropped out the enemy team (and most of their own) and had only 5 people left in the winning team's lobby at the end of the game. Don't know may people who quit a winning game like that, unless they were possibly a tagger who wanted to hide the fact they were assiting the MVP.

Did he have a friend helping, possibly with Surveilance? Was this a private match? Were people largely AFK? Was he playing with friends who let him scoop the kills? Was he playing against friends who let him kill them, and/or reported their team-mate's locations? We will never know. Because "proof" of anything, this is not.

I won't comment further on this thread, but make of this observation what you will - this photo (and the previous one from Gama) would fail the standard of "proof" in any courtroom in the land. Don't demand proof from others while your own is so lacking. A clear, wide photo is not hard to take, and with all the game recording going on, I find it odd there's never any video for these kinds of boasts either.

Either way, I'm not impressed whether legit or not. Noob stomping is obnoxious and bragging about it more so, regardless of how difficult it is to get such a score (which I of course recognise it is) I'm just commenting negatively on the absurd definitions of what proof is thrown around and the generally highly suspicious nature of the proofs offered, especially in a game where the majority of the pro community usually has HD video recording every little action they do.

And as both of you are seemingly engaging in a little competition here on who can get the most kills, you not only both have the means, but also the motive to lie.

Normally I'd ignore this thread, but you personally called me out in the OP, so I feel compelled to put my 2 cents in and play devil's advocate in a major way. If you create a topic designed specifically to harvest reactions, then don't complain when you get negative ones mixed in with the positives. x

Well, aside from having you sit next to the person on the couch, taking a picture is the next best thing for proof. the picture is real and it is the best way to show it electronically dude.

Besides, taking a FULL picture that is aimed at the TV gets blurry and out of focus real quick. try it Stevo. If Gama or Eroc took it for the FULL PAGE we wouldnt see any details and then you might have said "Well, its kinda hard to see if thats a 7 in front of that 0 so how do we really know if that is 70?" or something like that.

"In a courtroom" you say? oh my gosh. but seriously Stevo, try taking a picture of the results and see how bad it is from even slightly far away!

Luckily "Gama" and "UnknownSoldier" dont need to take their pics to court. Phew!

I really don'y know what kind of cameras you guys use, but here in the 21st century we have things like auto-focus on everything, and as a camera op by trade myself, I can tell you things are much harder to focus up close, not far away, so that's a false dilemma right there.

And no, sitting on a couch next to them isn't the best proof. HD video is. Something the top players are never usually shy of spamming us endlessly with. Failing that, unless the phone used is from the late 90s, cell video would suffice. It's basically just pressing the next button down and then pulling out to a wide.

Proof this bad seems almost intentional. Like bigfoot. I'd have to physically struggle to take such poor shots.

I promised I wouldn't get into a big argument again and I won't, but you asked me a specific question, and one that was misleading if it went unanswered, so I replied. It's my intention to try to refrain from doing so again in this thread.

Again, I don't find the concept of getting 70 kills particularly outrageous. I've had 60 without playing my best before, but just that I see no compelling evidence here that is the case, both have plenty of reason to lie (ego/rivallry), and both are demanding evidence from others despite having (to my eyes) virtually none themselves.

I'm a cameraman (among other things), I find noobstomping obnoxious, and I am naturally cynical towards boasters, so I apologies that these topics, with poor camerawork, arrogance, and a healthy dose of suspicion, all press my buttons.
