This forum is, indeed a 13+ forum, so total maturity and immaculate command of english are something of an impossible request. However, there is no excuse for stupid mistakes such as using "of" instead of "have" in the appropriate places; to name just one example.
I can picture you sitting their reading this thinking "Oh be quiet Grandad, it's only the internet, no one takes it seriously." To this I would say two things:
I am not Grandad, I am 14, around the same age as many of you.
And that the internet is and should be taken very seriously indeed, take the UK Christmas number one for example, a group from facebook stopped the X Factor winner from getting that position, breaking a trend that has gone on for 4 years, and losing both Simon Cowell and the winner himself a fair amount of money.
Now, onto my proposals:
- A basic spell checker integrated into the posting systems, this would reduce the number of errors by a sizeable amount. It could also assist some foreign
members of the forums by showing them where they're going wrong with their spellings.
- A system that would run keywords from the title of a thread and the post itself thorugh a search engine.
Now, as I said before, I don't expect everyone to has immaculate grammar, nor do I expect to get a particulary good response from this post, but I do hope that it will atleast be noted by Bethesda.
Also, this may not be the best place for this topic, but I could see no other place that was suitable.
