Wow, Stirk looks very impressive. You guys did an amazing job with it. Now it just needs to be filled with people and clutter to make it look like humans actually live and work there. :)

Sounds great, Tarius! Stirk is completely done? I am forlorn because I never got a chance to help with its construction... and now it is too late. :( But it does look beautiful! :)

Great work on Stirk thus far! This is a huge undertaking, but I applaud your effort to keep it close to the original Lore than Oblivion did. The Cyrodiil from Arena's lore always seemed like it would be a more exotic and mysterious place (with jungle and rain forests scattered with ruins and the Legionaries with Dai-Katanas, etc.) than it turned out to be in the official version.

I wish you the best of luck with this.

You can still help at the construction of the non-Stirk bits.

What about religious ceremonies, rites and practices? Does Stirk have its own local government? I presume it is mostly occupied by Imperials, with the lesser races being Redguards and Wood Elves since those are the two closest provinces. I need to brush up on my lore. As much as I want to help, I currently can't because I am without a computer at the moment. I guess all I can offer at this point is praise, envy and worship.

The http://stirk.provincecyrodiil.com/about.html gives some information about Stirk's government and some of the people there. Regarding religion, most people worship the Divines, and there's a chapel dedicated to Kynareth. The main races on Stirk are Imperials, Redguards and to a lesser extent Altmer, with a handful of NPCs from the other races.

Feel free to come and post some quest or character ideas over at the forums; I could do with some help in that regard...

Out of curiosity, how are y'all handling heads/hairs? I'd like for them to use the defaults so they seamlessly fit with my head replacer of choice, but realistically there just aren't enough vanilla Imperial heads for that.

Also, again just for the sake of wondering, about how much inspiration would you say you take from Oblivion vs. the PGE? I know you tend toward the latter but Oblivion does a lot of things artistically that I'd be disappointed not to see at least acknowledged in some form in P:C.

You guys are doing a great job, keep it up!

There will be a few new heads here and there but some will be reserved for important NPCs so there won't be many playable additions.

The PGE comes first but Oblivion did many things right artistically and according to lore with the forest and enviroment type being the greatest exception. The ayleid ruins are heavily inspired from Oblivion art and some towns and areas will have some influences both as art and as general layout, however Oblivion will only be viewed as a very vague representation of Cyrodiil.

Actually, I am making the Ayleid meshes as close as I can to the originals. Textures are also pretty close.

I would actually expect a sizeable amount of playable heads. We have the Nibenese who are essentially unrepresented in vanilla so that is almost like a new race that needs heads. I don't think that many people using replacers will find our new heads to be out of place with them too much though. Hair will probably be the exception here, but I don't expect nearly as many new hairs styles as faces.

Work on the Gold Coast area has already started, I would peg it at about 10%, possibly less. Those cities are part of the Gold Coast, so they will be next ones completed.

We don't have an architecture set for Sutch yet, although ZackG is working on one. I think Wolli will start work on building Anvil once he's finished the Stirk interior set.
