Cavalry aren't exactly great at defending a city during a siege.

Cavalry would be slaughtered by my troops if they were defending...

Well IC, Aventius would be annoyed about the sudden change in relations and would stay neutral in the CE/BL war. And would focus in the West Weald.

Arch Count Risalu
"Very well, have him brought up to the castle, make him wait in my throne room." Rislau paused as he contemplated details, "and have a score of guards posted there too, Boethia's legion aren't above attempting an assassination attempt under the flag of diplomacy. Oh, have word sent to High Priest Nolan, he'd enjoy this." His steward turned to leave the room, just as he reached the door Rislau called out again "and have my squire sent up, I'll need to get my armor on." Rislau watched Valton leave as he began to wash his face and get ready for his meeting with the Arch-Deacon.
Athell, does this mean that I post what Fadrill is experiencing in the Throne room until your character arrives...?

Yeah, just have him being led up the walkway by the guards and up to the castle, then waiting in the throne room. There's 20 armed guards waiting in there for him. ;) I didn't just want to CC him up there.

Alright, and I am going to have drinks prepared for us purely because Fadrill hasn't slept in a LONG time...

I'm not sure I agree with you making one of my guards hit you. There's always malcontents I guess though.

Yeah, just give me some time to read through everything and get ready. I'll probably be ready tomorrow night.

Damn. I was going to have it where Corvus's forces arrive to Skingrad at Midnight. It would be a bit funny if both of them had not noticed a huge army outside the walls for the past 4 hours. Though I could have the army rest behind a hill out of sight fro, the city.

I'd have pointed out that they'd have made very impressive time to make it from their ships to the city in 12 hours.

Well they landed earlier then 12 PM. I failed to mention that they got of the ships at around 7 Am and took them a few hours. So that got them 14 hours. Though I guess if Corvus had made them marched all the way to Skingrad without taking any breaks or slowing down, they'll get to the city but exhausted? And that means they will rest until morning?

Didn't he used a sword as an oath to never betray his ally. That alone will make Aventius rage like a lunatic. That oath was part of Colovian culture. And Aventius or any Colovian does not take that lightly...

Even so, armies are slow, they get stretched out as they march. And fourteen hours march is difficult, have you ever tried walking for fourteen hours? Now try doing it with armor and weapons.

true, but some armies would be trained to do that. Besides, considering that it's taking the Imperial Legion four days to get to Skingrad from Leyawin. I figured it would be much shorter for Anvil to get to Skingrad from the Siltrid River to the city in much less time. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Boethiah cares little of petty oaths, in case you haven't noticed Boethiah's Legion is a catalyst for Boethiah to spread her influence...

On the eve of battle would you really want to force your men to march for 14 hours? I don't doubt that they could make it, I just doubt that they'd all make it. Not all of these men can be hardened warriors, some must be conscripted farmers and builders, that sort of treatment would lead to desertion.

I know that but In character, Aventius will be offended that Cassamir broke some oath that was an important part of Colovian culture

True. Most of the army are within the early 20s/late teens.(18 and 19) I guess halfway there, they rest for a few hours, but continue marching after that and arrive at 4 to 6 in the morning?

Why force them to march into the night? It would be easier to rest half way and arrive at midday the next day.
