Post » Tue May 17, 2011 8:51 am

Well after careful consideration i have decided to sell my Ps3 after the network came back online to find the only thing there offering is one free download game out of there 3 choice's

now i have Fallout 3 and New Vagas on ps3 and iv only just bought an Xbox 360
after some time thinking iv come to a problem is fallout 3 and Vagas worth buying again for the xbox 360
i love both game's but as they would completly freeze on my ps3 i never saw either ending will i have the same problem with Xbox ?

Yes! Every game I have ever played on xbox has terrible quality compared to the PS3 (including Fallout, I played both versions). Trust me, don't get rid of it.

The best choice you can make would be to use the money you get from selling your PS3 and build a PC, $600 would make you a computer capable of running Fallout 3 and New Vegas at around there best quality with little to no lag, you'll also be able to use mods and have higher graphics settings than both consoles. If you don't want to build a PC though then go with the Xbox.

Fallout 3 has been known to function much worse on the Playstation 3 (especially DLC) but the game will run better on the Xbox.

That's ridiculous, you clearly have a very biased opinion on this and are just going to plug the PS3 because you like it better and that's what you're use to.

I'm only saying what I've seen and played. I've played the xbox and PS3 versions of Fallout 3 along with the DLCs except mothership zeta. And I agree about the PC thing. You can do so much more with a pc.
And why is it that when I say the PS3 is better at something based on experience, someone calls me bias?

Please don't let this be a console war ... =/

My two cents is that I never had any terrible problems and I play on PS3 (uh .. .two ... PS3s to be precise), with two different versions of each game. Some annyoing lags and bugs, but nothing that ever stopped me from finishing the game. First version of Fallout 3 worked fine, froze in places but nothing that I didn't quickly get used to and accept. Second version worked okay, but very nearly finished due to Broken Steel crashing multiple times, admittedly - worked around it eventually, I guess. First version of New Vegas was a pre-owned copy, so I expected to have minor problems to begin with, but nothing dramatically different to my first version of Fallout 3, aside from a couple of quest script bugs. Second version of Fallout: New Vegas has worked the smoothest of the lot, but on the onsole I have Dead Money installed on, it was prone to freezing every 10 minutes or so prior to the latest patch.

I think that are plus points and minus points to playing on both consoles. Just from surfing The Vault Wiki, I've seen some pretty irritating bugs for the 360, though these affect specific missions more than the game as whole. Bummer if you're going for (as close as possible to) 100% though. Similarly, I've read about some equally irritating ones for the PS3 which, admittedly, I've never been on the receiving end of, but have the same potential.

If you want to play Fallout, and think you'd get your money's worth through buying again, then I'd say to go ahead and pick it up for the 360 - you should get a good deal on Fallout 3 and New Vegas right about now (I've seen it for a decent price in several places). Might be an option to trade in your PS3 versions?

Because you said every game you ever played for the Xbox 360 was terrible quality meaning you must've only played games that were terrible quality thus you have a biased opinion, as well as having not played the other 99.9% of well functioning Xbox games.

Don't worry it's just a debate, it's not a console war until everybody starts using horrible grammar and we start calling each other "n00bz0rz."

Building a PC is fairly simple, very little tech skill is required, and it would be more worth your while if you're only getting two games, that way you can play Fallout and be able to use the computer as well. It would be less of a waste.

Right, I have experience. Whereas I'm sure you've played those 99% of the games that have hidden from me so far.
Ya, its hard to be biased and know what you're talking about.

No, from when I played it, they both had the same amount of bugs and glitches.
Oh, and there is one series of games I've played on xbox that a do like: Halo. Its also the only one I've played on xbox live and the quality was good then.
But thats my only time with xbox live, so its all I know of it. And usually when I've played PSN the quality was fine, unless there was a crappy host every once and a while.

Both great games, but a desktop computer would run them much better (and other games) which brings me back to building a PC it would cost a lot of money to get a desktop that can run games at the highest quality but significantly less if you built it yourself. Besides laptops and gaming don't usually walk hand-in-hand.

I play FO3 on 360, and F:NV on 360 and PS3.

I've had no problems with FO3 on 360. And from the reviews I read, it's supposed to be better on the 360 than the PS3 (better draw distance and textures).

F:NV looks about the same, but areas/buildings take a LOT longer to load on the PS3! I'm currently playing Honest Hearts after playing F:NV on the PS3, and I just can't believe how much faster the loads on.
Also, on the PS3 there are regular second or so pauses when I'm travelling outdoors, which I don't have on the 360. I think this is possibly to do with the PS3 allocating a fixed 256MB to graphics memory, which isn't as versatile as the 360.

The PS3's good, but to suggest it's far superior to the 360 is ridiculous. And the 360 controller is much better!

Given that you're almost certainly going to lose money on the transaction for little gain, I'd say stay put.

Now if you were putting the funds towards a PC which has a non gaming bonus plus access to the GECK, then I could understand.

Weird, my friend's XBox takes forever to load F3 while my PS3 takes about three seconds, I don't know why it's the opposite for everybody else.

Maybe his 360 is in need of a clean? Also, installing it to the hard drive reduces loading times somewhat.

I'll sell my PS3 if the zipperheads over at Sony don't get their [censored] together soon. The entire network goes down, and then their store, it's ridiculous and I'm wondering what the hell is going to go down next.
