I've seen this on a few sites, and it's very vague as to what it's REALLY fixing. Does the merchant exploit still work? Are energy weapons on par with guns now?

Is this the same as the 360 patch? Otherwise, not sure why it's posted here!

So when it says that it fixes the dlc save glitch, does it allow me to play the saves that were corrupted? If my companions were invisable are they now visable? Or do these fixes only aply to a new save or save that has never run into these problems?

Correct. These are the notes for PC, 360, and PS3

More than likely, if you received the message where it says DLC is missing and the file is corrupt, your saves will likely work when the update goes up next week. Definitely hold onto those saves and give them a try next week. That being said, there are instances where saves can actually become corrupt, but most of the issues I'm seeing are from people that received the message relating to DLC content -- and that's a bug resolved with the update.

Thank you! that is not only great news but its good to see the staff replying to our questions. The DLC lost files was my main concern and im glad to see that it wasnt a loss

By the looks of the patch notes, it's as if they had to fix pretty much everything in the game.... I'm sure everyone knows where this post is going.

I notice the patch notes mention nothing about the reworking of energy weapons, so is it safe to assume they'll be included in the 360 patch?

I'm having a great deal of fun with the new Energy weapon stats so please don't nerf them in a future update.

What about the constant freezing? I hope they fixed that too, otherwise the game stills broken for me.

Wednesday could not come any faster. I say Wednesday, but it could easily be before then. I'll set my mind for the later date. :P

Just looking at the PS3 forum, there are a few complaints about this patch not working, which is just stupid. Of course the patch will work as intended. I can easily overlook the memory leaks/freezing if I come across it, and I'll be sure to delete the game cache and save often as I usually do. I'm not sure if the patch is retro-active however, hence why a lot of people may be having problems. But that's the whole reason I never bothered to even boot up the game until this patch was rolled out.

That being said, the patch could be retro-active. *Shrug*

Wow that's cool that you won't have to kill an NCR ranger to get that armor anymore, and the science armor or whatever sounds intriguing too. I hope it doesn't just look like a labcoat or something.

I have one question about this patch now that it's in effect. As for DLC save corruption, can you load saves that have been plagued with this bug?

I think this will vary from case to case. We'll just have to go ahead and try to load those saves once the update is released and I think some will work again and some won't. We won't know until it is released for 360 because PS3 and PC never had the DLC glitch to begin with.

Good for the patch coming out but the bad news of it is the freezing may not been solved. So expect freezing.
Gstaff I hoping a no freezing patch is coming soon.

Also wondering that if the Abanndon BoS safe house is still locked with this patch?

I'd expect that a good number of issues will get fixed, or atleast the game breakers like the dlc glitch and getting locked out of the strip. Unfortunately I don't think this game will ever work as it was intended to, some of the bugs/ glitches are just part of the engine itself which is damn near ancient. My hope for the future of this franchise is a brand new engine that eliminates the issues that have been present since Oblivion, time will tell I guess. Bethesda/Obsidian I do wish you to prosper and continue to entertain us, I just hope you learn from this whole mess and don't make the same mistakes twice.

Is there any chance on getting more detail on the fixes rather than just "relating to x fixed"?

Has anyone checked if Meltdown still triggers for the flame thrower or if that was changed in the patch?

Only PS3 players could answer questions like that and I don't think they frequent the Xbox 360 issues forum. I'd go ask over in their forum.
