I just thought I'd chime in and say, "Hey, my multiplayer experience on PSN has been fine."
I'm not having lag. I'm not having any connectivity issues. I'm not having any frame-rate problems.
Twice I've seen a player character running around cloaked, but their gun was uncloaked. Once, I had this dude in the match that we all agreed we couldn't seem to kill (he was prolly a hacker douche). One time I couldn't connect to the host. Nothing to blow up about.
Mostly, it's been really well synchronized, smooth and a blast to play.
I'd be almost willing to believe everything you just said, except for the framerate part. It's not like some people are just having framerate issues, the game chokes at a low framerate nonstop. It doesn't ever seem to make it up to 30 fps. This is just due to sloppy coding. This is not the kind of issue where some people will have it and some won't, everybody has it because it's a result of how the game is coded. Everybody's PS3 and game disc are identical, nobody escapes this kind of issue. Unless you are referring to the single player, then that might not be as bad. But for multiplayer, framerate absolutely kills the experience. I've tried many times to play this game, but the awful framerate just makes it very unenjoyable.
