Ps3 STILL freeze every hour!

Post » Mon Aug 19, 2013 1:42 am

No matter what im doing, where im at, etc., the game freezes on average every 2, to 3 hours...Idk if its happening more frequently the bigger my save file gets, but its DEFINITLY gotten worse! Im up to about 13-14MB now, and its every couple of hours...The only way to unfreeze the thing, is to shuut down the system manually, or eject, and re install the game disc.. This is unbelievable.. None of my games used to do this, but every since i started Skyrim, ALL my games do it.. Though nowhere near as often.. Some game MAY freeze once, every now and then.. But Skyrim, is EVERY session, MULTIPLE times!

Dude. Take care of your game. Don't drop stuff into the world and pick the weapons off of dead bodies you killed.

Leave your auto saves off.

this, cleaning up after yourself is very important for keeping down save-file bloat. Every time you kill an NPC, loot every weapon and shield, even if you don't see them on the ground, and then you can either just restore them on the corpse, stick them in the next container you come by or sell them. Just whatever it takes to make sure nothing is left laying on the ground. Dropped items do not de-spawn like they are suppose to and they will add to your save file as they clutter up throughout Skyrim.

There isn't much you can do to get your save file down in size once it gets up there so try clearing the game cache every so often and that may help with the freezing. You may have to do it once a day or even as often as every time before you log on.. If you are freezing every few hours I would try clearing the game cache at least once a day.

and yeah, disable ALL auto-save functions.

Actually you shouldn't have freezes on other games !!!!!!

You should consider to use the PS3 recovery console !!!!

First do a Restore File System and then a Rebuild Database
