Ps3? Xbox? not fair for Pc owner's

Post » Tue Feb 03, 2009 9:50 pm

I think that maby Crytek should have just make crysis2 for pc and not the console's because from what im hearing that since its also for console's it's gona be a 6vs6 and crap like that i mean its not fair ..but i do have a ps3 but i play BFBC2 on it . and im sorry for all u console owner's out there but i think Crysis2 should have been just for pc Beacuse the other Crysis game's were and if it was made just for pc then the Weapon modding would be kept in and more map's, lager battle's and evan maybe a map editor ... and maybe some Vehiclies or if thi had diffrant version's for the diffrant console's like have 16Vs16 in crysis 2 and all thos other thing's for pc and made the ps3 and xbox have a 6vs6 8vs8 or evan a 9vs9 with some stuff in it to like Vehicles and some modding like MW2 for ps3 and Xbox ..so post me on this to what u think about it

Well whats the harm if they move to consoles ?
yeah, PC owners may feel Crytek is slowly slipping into the Pro-consoles side.
But I wouldn't say that as of now. Apparently, it still is heaps better on PC

i agree with the post. 6v6 is them coming to my house and taking a dump on my keyboard.

if they wanted to make this the best game i dont know why they changed it so much, crysis warhead was my most favorite game and i am devastated that crysis 2 is not just for pc owners. it means ppl are just going to buy the game on console and not on pc, i know my clan is and it just destroys the pc community. plus with the console u are limiting the game by alot.

i dont know if i will play the multiplayer. 6v6 is just not fun, its making crysis another normal game like CoD mw2 which is so boring.

The problem is NOT that the game is being developed on the consoles, its that the company is using them as an excuse to water down the game and casualize it.

Don't blame the consoles, it is the companies fault with their developing strategy.

This.
They could've made the PC version for PC, but instead they decided to make sure the PC version was as crippled as the console version.

Crytek just knows the reviews would end 'the pc version is the best one, the consoles are just a crippled version of that" so they make sure they all suffer equally, so they just aim for the lowest common denomonator.

I predict Crysis 2 MP DOA, most PC players will be completely turned off by the changes, I guess it might have some life in MP on consoles. We'll see of course, but seeing as how they've talked about nothing but the 360 release its safe to assume this is going to be a console game first, thats getting ported over to PC (not in the true sense of porting, but they release it to the PC and don't play to any of the PC's strengths, thats either shoddy work or perhaps they are naive and new to PC development and might miss out on these things (no excuse for Crytek)

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe crysis 2 will turn out just like the PC players want the PC version to, and Crytek just felt like making us squirm while we waited, but until then, I have no reason to treat this as anything but a well ported 360 game. (even though it wont be a port, in the true sense of the word obviously)

Here we go with another ITS CONSOLIZED! TROLOL thread. Youve made like 4 threads today about the same topic and it ends up like the others, the same.

I think its a great thing and many crybabies here have not even tried or arent even working with the game! So crying and saying the MP will be worst or its the devil sin child of Crysis Wars is an idiotic term to use when you have not even tried it! Come 8 more months and you will get your answer, if it was worth it or not. In the mean time shut up and lets continue going on.

So your saying do what say....the Witcher 2 is doing? Start off with the PC and 360 then when the PC is released finish up the 360 then after the 360 roll in the PS3? Thats how there doing it but so far no footage on 360 or PS3 so I cant say if thats working or not.

Crytek said that if you have a high top PC like you did with Crysis you wont be dissapointed. So far just follow on that note and lets move forward till we see the FULL game running. Again this is Pre Beta or End of Aplha stage.

For me its just not a step forward in grfx.
More lik one step forward and two steps back.
Better Storytelling and more depth.
But a setting not worthy to be a crytek game.
When Games appear as multiplattform titels...the consoles slow down the process of graphical evolution. FAct!

They've removed weapon modding? seriously?

*sigh* great, yet another feature removed for the cause of the lowest common denominator, what's the excuse crytek? i can run crysis 1 with a 360 controller and i can manage to use pretty much every features apart from a couple of small ones like having both prone and crouch available. Why are you removing these features? are you scared console players are too dumb?

meh, to be honest console players shouldn't get annoyed at pc gamers calling console ports dumbed down, console players should be demanding their games reach pc standards.

I think its all about the money..... they "do / dont care" what you think. Your state of mind, is from a gamers point of view rather than a business one.

It's because too many PC titles were pirated. It's not a 'pro-console' move. Guys, consoles are just as good as PCs. Shut up. They're all equal in their own way.

Also, more money = better sequel. They didn't make mounds of money because of the pirating. People need to start PAYING for the game, support the sequel, another game, and the company.

they could have made the game have more players like resistance 2 with 60 players, but Crytek UK said that they wanted to make the game more fast paced, meening smaller maps =(

I really don't see a console as being any different than a minimum system requirements PC. The fact that a game runs on a weaker computer than mine in no way diminishes my experience, it diminishes the experience of the person with the weaker PC.

In the same way, PC will get the best experience, without the game needing to be "watered down" for consoles. They just have to deal with hardware limitations we do not.

My Crysis looks better than my friend who uses a 5470. My experience doesn't suffer from his computer running the game in the least. He just doesn't get the pretty graphics I do.

If you want to whine about consoles getting the game, whine about people with low spec PCs getting the game too. Keep it even. At least with a console the developers have an exact bottom line to hit at capacity, instead of a best guess of the median range of PCs currently used by their target demographic.

Since physics processing in PCs is handled by GPU, and Cryengine has already notably allowed for selectable physics within the settings, along with all the graphics and sound, this creates no loss for the high end PC.

The only actual loss to consoles is some potential for controls, since the underachievers only have a handful of buttons.

Its simple, whatever platform you have.

you have seen the trailers .

DO YOU WANT THE GAME__OR NOT??????????

its your choice as a gamer, whatever critisisms are bandied around, does it really matter when you make that discision to buy or not, simple......

hell i dont even care what anyone uses to play out this game, as long as its worth it, buy it, I know from what i have seen previously, and now, i am determined to get the game.

The Nano Edition if possible. :-)

"Ps3? Xbox? not fair for Pc owner's"

By your logic, it also wasn't fair that the first Crysis was only made for the PC. Just be happy, that at least Crysis 2 isn't made exclusively for consoles.

No it shouldn't be because for one consoles are not holding back the games possibilities on pc.Secondly it's a business & developers want to make as money as possible & the console market is a huge cash cow. Finally the only one to blame is the software pirates on the pc community why developers feel the need to expand their support across other platforms.
