Every time I try to play Fallout 4 on my PS4, it crashes. It used to be I play for a few minutes and then it crashes, but now it has come to I get to the initial loading screen and it crashes immediately. I have tried everything from restarting the console to getting a whole new disk. Nothing has been working. I started a new game, I factory reset my system, I made a new PSN account, Uninstalled and reinstalled the game, and nothing has worked. The issue has just gotten worse and I can't play the game at all. I've reported it multiple times to PS support and I contacted Bethesda support (just got an automated email back (go figure)). I'm just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem and perhaps a solution. Thanks a ton. I just want to play my game


The error code I keep getting is (CE-34878-0). I know it's a common one but maybe it'll help.

Yep. I'm having the exact same issue as you. This error is gamebreaking as I can't finish some main story quests.

Have you at least been able to play the game? I can't even get passed a loading screen anymore

Yes, I still played like 20 hours but I can't continue doing the main story quests because of this.

I could play perfectly fine but since today my game keeps crashing on certain places and in certain missions.
And i have the same error code, im starting all new now because of it

Honestly, I've put in more time trying to fix my game than playing it. I'm so mad and I just don't know what to do. I can't play it at all

If the error persists, after rebooting the system - and (or) after a re-installtion of the game...

You may wanna try to re-install the PS4 system software. Go to Settings, then to Initialization, and choose Initialize PS4. (Be sure to back up your data before doing this.)

Tried it twice and did that database rebuild 10 times since some people said doing several times might work. But nope... Not for me.

I havnt been able to play at all, first time i started it up it crashes when i try to start a new game. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Its just completly broken. I think this is the first console game iv ever played that just straight up doesnt work at all.

I haven't had one crash yet but I did get an error today when I started the game. Tried again and it started as normal, kinda weird.

We don't need bragging. Gosh. jk I'm happy for you but I just wish i knew what i could do to just play my game

It's strange when we all have the same hardware but some are having issues and some aren't. Is your ps4 system software up to date?

Just a quick update, i took my disk back to the shop and downloaded the digital version. Digital version has been working fine (despite a horrendous amount of time it took to install).

This is a huge problem with me, and it only seems to affect the Diamond City, and the bridge above it. I can seem to play around inside dungeons and other places, but once i fast travel to DC......and try to play for 10 seconds, it crashes.

Can we vote this topic as a sticky, so that everyone who is having this problem can post, and maybe get a solution, because this is borderland game breaking. Sony has been no hope, saying it is on Beth's end.

I don't think gamestop would give me a full refund is the problem. I traded a bunch of games in for it.

It took 8 hours, compared to gta v wich took me around 4 to download and is twice as big.

Yeah that svcks... no idea if its just certain disks? Not seen enough people talking about wether its physical or digital copies with the properly game breaking bug.

I doubt it's just the disk. I've already replaced it ($3 protection plan thing) and the same thing has been happening.

It seems you have a problem of grasping how internet works ,and the download speeds across are not a constant like a speed of light.Also It depends on the network load of PSN, network load of your ISP and your network setup and it sounds like you are a wifi warrior, Am I right ?
