I am an idiot and spend way too much money on my PC and upgrading parts so my spec is years ahead of current gen consoles.
I can immerse myself with a keyboard and mouse more (Don't ask why, I have no idea)
So naturally I pre-ordered myself a pip-boy for the PC. I don't scream out all the PC master race stuff either because each platform has its advantages, I just prefer by big giant lump o metal
Ps4 initially.. and then pc eventually. I've said this before but... I like to get the games on console first because it forces me to play the game as the game makers made it. On the pc I'm too tempted to mod it all up before I even know what I think needs to actually be modded. Also, for me, console equals big t.v., surround sound and big comfy couch. . Couch beats computer chair 100%.
Careful - we PC gamers may one day find we're the Eloi, and the console players the Morloks...
Unless, of course, Microsoft upholds its grand tradition of bloody minded, inconsistent and obstreperous operating systems. Then, in our constant intellectual struggle with our adored adversary (our PC), we may still hold our own . Or just suffer from such an overload of frustration and bewilderment that our distracted minds become easy prey
nah because even if the microsoft/PC market bombs and fails completely, there's still one thing you're forgetting. The bigger PC components (graphics cards, Processor, RAM, ect ect) are all stronger on our end. Companies that make consoles use weaker stuff (PS4, Xbox, Wii) Even though the new generations have seen a serious improvement and are practically gaming PCs of their own, they are still going to be worse than what you can get on the custom built end. Sure it involves more work and a little know how, but that's why its called PC master race lol. Not trying to be egotistical or full of myself, but the fact of the matter remains:
you can always build a better performing machine than what is offered in the console market
I don't know about anybody else but I think this "PC master race" joke is getting a bit stale.
Yeah. Except I don't think it's a joke. Some people are just so damn smug and self satisfied about buying high power, unreliable and overcomplicated systems. I mean, I've bought a fairly high end PC, but at least I don't brag (sorry, 'joke') about it. What's so inferior about consoles anyway? They provide excellent performance and reliability for the price, don't they?
Oh well, some people go on about the superiority of their high-performance cars, and the ones who can't afford those go on about the superiority of their high performance PCs .
Oh I didnt mean PC Master race as a joke.
We are stronger, smarter, better, more capable to adapt to change.
Just.... better
With great power comes great ego.
Xbox One.
Before launch: no worries about hardware specs.
At launch: disc goes in, game gets played, hundreds of hours get lost on the couch.
No upgrades necessary. No extra pain in the wallet. Just good, comfortable times.
Believe it or not, people actually take it very seriously. And very fanatically at that.
I'm probably not getting it at all. I'm going to do a large amount of research on it and see if there are any redeeming qualities to the flaws I've seen so far and if I don't find anything to redeem it then I won't get it. And the more I learn of Fallout 4 the less optimism I hold. Only thing I can hope for is that the lore, quests, writing and CnC are true to Fallout, if it is I may get it on PC after it goes on sale on Steam. But the gameplay doesn't feel like Fallout at all, nor does the RPG mechanics. So gameplay-wise it does not feel like a Fallout title to me and I ain't shelling out a single cent on the game if the narrative side isn't up to par.
Tell me about it. You should've seen the argument I got into when I went to the 2K Forums and asked for XCOM 2 to come to consoles.
I mean, it's a TBS. How can the controls be "too complicated" for a controller? Even Firaxis themselves said the game will probably run on the X1 and PS4. And then, oh dear, but there was a gigantic argument about parity and how it always hurts PC users and is present in every multiplatform game, so it's better for "everyone" if every game doesn't come to consoles.
Yeah, logic at work there. @_@
Pc, Easy modding. Already bought and paid for... waiting for midnight release.
