PC, PS4 or XBOX One - What are you getting your game on?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 9:59 pm

PC but we're getting a XB1 copy as well for the peasants of the house who can't be arsed to fool with the art that is getting a heavily modded game to run smoothly without crashing every time you take a step.

If I had to choose between console versions, I'd pick XB1 simply of the history between Beth games and PS stability.

PS4.

Always consider getting a gaming pc but anytime I start setting money aside something happens and pc funds go back to zero.

Maybe you can make it a poll?

Be easier to see.

I have a fair idea and if I had trouble I only have to ask my brother who likes to consistently remind me of his glorious pc master race membership

I love how the PC talk used to be "I'm on PC cuz modz" and now it's "I'm on PC for better modz!" Lol
Not that I'm optimistic about the mods that will be on consoles. I'd be really surprised if it works half as well as they do on PC.

It's no secret that the PS4 is more powerful, but ever so slightly to the point it is barely noticeable. So when it comes to visuals it really doesn't matter what console you go with as they're both practically the same. But honestly, if someone cared that much about the graphics of their game, they might as well just invest into a PC.

I plan on getting it for Xbox One first, and later on PC.

Thanks for that, I couldn't imagine that PS4 would look way better than XBox1. Honestly I think I'd rather have it for the console that Beth will be focusing on (Xbox1), if I can't get it for PC.

Xbox One.

Intending to buy an Xbox One in August mostly in preparation for Fallout 4, Just Cause 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Arkham Knight and Deus Ex : Mankind Divided.

Finally some "next gen" games that make buying a new console worthwhile.

XBox One; this is the first game that's made me willing to fork over the cash.

I'll more than get my money's worth.

You know, the Xbox One already has Keyboard functionality and they're adding in Mouse compatibility soon. No excuse for strategy games when it's done.

Give me my XCOM 2 on Xbox One!

I'm going to get it for my Xbox One. My PC will probably not run this game as I built it a year before Skyrim came out and although I can max that game out, this game is going to be bigger, prettier, and I just don't think my PC can handle it. I also own a PlayStation 4 but with mods confirmed for Xbox One that's where I'm getting it. Plus, I played Fallout 3 and New Vegas on my Xbox 360 before I got my PC. I already have the Pipboy Edition pre-ordered for my Xbox One as well and I can't wait! :D

There is only one system worth getting a Bethesda game on.

The PC, of course. Everything else is a reduced experience.

Xbox One but I think Fallout fans are pretty decent about keeping the console wars far away from these forums.

No, it really isn't. At least, not to me. With Bethesda games, the game itself is only part of the experience. With past games, that was all the consoles had access to. This time the XBox One, and hopefully the PS4, will be getting mods. I'm very happy for them because players on those systems will finally get to experience this wonderful aspect of the game. However, they're still not getting the full experience. They still don't get the opportunity to open things up and tinker or tweak. They don't have the chance to create.

So yes, they are getting a reduced experience.

Playing on PC as I always have. I love my keyboard and mouse and the modding scene. My eldest daughter just built me a beast of a gaming PC recently so I should be good.

While PC has the better of all three, you will need a better computer (ie: you will in the end spend more then just the game price tag) to get it running at ultra most likely. However the mods are comming to pc first, then xbox one, then maybe to PS4. Also, some mods might be blocked from Xbox due to rules and laws.

In the end my sugjetion would be to go for Xbox, then get it for PC at a later date (say a year or so, when you got a up-to-date computer). As for PS4 having better graphics, thats alot of personal preferance. PS4 seems to have a nmore rich but darker color pallete, and xbox seems more washed out, but the difference is so smal, that unless you place two of them right next to eachother, you woudnt notice it.

PS: i am a PS3(4) fan myself.

Unless your computer is already better than the new consoles which is hard to do.
