Thanks for the info man-- I'm sure some people here will appreciate this info.
But some of us like myself that went crazy not being able to play the exact day PSN went offline- then you do allot of research online.
I know I keep checking on my ps everyday and I look online for any new info.

I hope the PSN is back up and running soon and I hope these hackers stop messing with us.

Well, i know everyone wont agree with me but that's fine with me. Anyways, the benefit of owning both consoles are truly very rewarding. Honestly, i dont know what i would be doing on days when im not too busy doing something with the current situation psn is going through. I wasn't much of an xbox gamer myself, but after putting in some time on xbox live with the gears of war 3 beta, i must say that im not missing psn or playing my ps3 as much right now. Im really kicking myself in the ass at the moment.

Xbox version of crysis 2 did not only receive a patch, it actually works when you go to play online(seems like everytime i make a decision regarding a multiplatform game, i always regret it.

European gamers need to cancel their cards, as word is that hackers have 2.2 million European credit card details, including security codes.

Its unconfirmed, but i've cancelled mine. Better to be safe than sorry.

Lol, Sony is a multibillionaire company. They don’t just have one team working on one task. It’s split up. If they put it up, and its not properly prepared, they’ll get attacked by consumers, and media outlets again. If they take their time, asses the damages, repair them, and also ensure that the security has been enhanced significantly people still attack them.

They’ve offered you some nice incentives in order to try and make good with consumers a bit. I’m not disagreeing with the fact that Sony should have probably had a lot more security in place (probably). But, this is outrageous, what more do you want?

They saw potential danger, and acted immediately by shutting it down. If they had left it up, you probably would say “Why didn’t you shut it down, and fix the issue?” or something along those lines. Some say “I’ll go to Xbox”. Yes yes, because this can only happen to Sony.

This wont change the fact that you can still enjoy a huge library of games, even Crysis, till PSN is back up.

good for you felix and my point was that sony is not telling us a date first it was 1-2 days then they said we have clear pathto restore psn then they said with in a week then they said region by region and still no psn or update so dont start sayin sht

As for the guy that said "go ahead and pay 60 for a free service(XBL) Wow man, have you played on live? cross game chat, cross game invites, tons of content on the market place(not just exclusive games) netflix party(everyone gets in chat and watches the same movies) tons of games that you can buy right from the marketplace(on psn you can only buy like 6 games: infamous, prototype, mass effect 2, god of war 1 and 2, and assassins creed 2. FAIL service FAILS but its free.

not really...its all opinion based. Some may not like the content featured on live. They may think that the whole experience is lame. Just look at PC and steam. Its beaslier that XBL and its free.

However, we console game because its convinient( i do anyways). With that said, i dont mind paying extra for a better service. Besides, if you have a job, you piss 60 bucks per year.
