It is free. Now if XBL went offline and I was paying $7 a month for a service that isn't working, I would be mad. But Sony is giving you guys free service and people still complain. :shrug:

It has nothing to do with money. I, at least, am not complaining about Sony. I'm just complaining and I have every right to. I'm upset by this... but that doesn't mean I'm upset at anyone in particular (unless someone really did hack into the PSN). The service that I've never seen down like this at any time in my entire history of owning a PS3 is down. Of course, I'm upset! Just because someone pays money for XBL doesn't mean they have any more of a right to be upset than I or any complaining PS3 players do.

Stuff being free doesn't excuse it when it's of poor quality or not working as promised. It's still not working no matter how you cut it.

If stuff being free makes it immune to criticism, I would like to offer you this bucket of broken glass that also siphons money out of your bank account to me.

I'd love to agree, but the oxygen in my house has been replaced with carbon monoxide. I can't complain about it, though. It's not like I was ever paying any money for oxygen.

Wow, you people take stuff out of context. Games and things that are keeping you alive are two completely different things. It's like the anology where they say "well if they told you to jump off a cliff, would you do it?", it's completely different things and you are trying to relate it.

You underestimate the importance of an online gaming service to nerds such as myself...

I stand by having the right to be upset, regardless. I don't need any anology. My service is down and I can't do what I want to do, hence I'm upset. I don't need to pay money to be upset when something stops working.

I'm not really mad at sony for psn going down.

However, I am surprised that it has been down this long and there wasn't enough security / fail safes in place to stop the "external intrusion."

For it to be down for this long with very little concrete info regarding the nature of the problem and very little info regarding what exactly is being done makes me think the problem is quite serious.

I do feel bad for the tech support guys trying to put "humpty dumpty" back together. Those guys probably haven't slept since PSN went down and are working hard so I can play some online game.

"anonymous" stated they only wanted to target sony & not PS3 users.......BUT sense sony is to fking stubborn they refused to give jailbreaking rights...so anonymous shut the servers so PS3 users would give up on sony & go to xbox (loseing income) so now sony is at war with "anonymous" so until sony gives jailbreaking rights.......the war goes on ( THIS IS WUT I HEARD, K?)
