So, waiting for the gameplay trailer to become available over the PlayStation Network through the PlayStation Store has been something I was doing for nearly the past two months. It became available yesterday and I noticed some differences in the audio. The visuals are exactly the same as the version everyone on here likely already saw, but this version I watched had some sound differences, leading me to believe Bethesda simply edited the audio that came with the original gameplay video. Having watched the gameplay trailer many times, already, and having had the original gameplay trailer on my PS3, as soon as I watched the PS trailer and noticed something different, I compared it to the 720p quality original trailer I have on my PS3 and sure enough, the sound is definitely a bit different. In the PSN version, some things just seemed edited in for dramatic effect, such as some ambient noises while showing Alduin's wall and a more subtle difference between the the running music and the main theme blasting away, but some of the changes lead me to question what the true sounds that will be used for the game are.
For example, the PSN version has more of a clanging sound when Dovakhiin draws his sword in comparison to the original one, the noises made by Dovakhiin's attacks are different (I hear what sounds like a chain being shaken and the sound made by hitting an enemy is more subtle than in the original), and the noise that comes from Dovakhiin swinging a sword and hitting the air sounded a bit different. I'm tempted to say it made a bit of a wooshing sound, but I can't remember, for sure. Anyway, to anyone that has watched it or not, what do you believe those different sounds may indicate? Which sounds will end up being used in the game? Will they change the audio, depending on the platform?
