PSN update *info on accounts*

Post » Tue Feb 01, 2011 11:52 am

And you seriously want me to accept that you're not trying to annoy us PS owners?! Please stop insulting Sony cause MS and Xbox are worse in many ways (most actually :spotted owl:).

Well, I wouldn't go far as to say that, but one central reason why the PSN is better is that we don't have to pay $50 a year. :foodndrink:

Your argument is irrelevant.

And yes, I have both a PS3 and a 360, so the "quit picking on us!!!1!!!" comment doesn't work.

I didn't say that... besides, flaming is not allowed on the Bethesda forums and this thread should be closed promptly. :)

Already edited my post :P But yeah I agree. I don't think Live is better than the PSN and it's not worth the 40 bucks needed IMO

I wasn't talking to you with that comment.

And c'mon, you thought I was flaming you? I was joking. :P Don't worry, pal, your face is certainly relevant. :)

Aren't we mature? I already edited my post anyway if you didn't see. And as I said I don't want this to become a console war (not sure if it's too late though...) so let's stop complaining about each others system. 'kay?

What is immature is you PS3 lovers not being able to take criticism. Listen, I have both consoles. Both have pros, both have cons. I happen to like the 360 more than PS3. Get over it. *shrug* It's not a console war until you get all riled up and make it one.

Everything is fine, no account information was stolen. PSN should be back up at 4:00 PST. I know this because my uncle works at NIntendo.  :sadvaultboy:

What do you mean? Your personal info isn't publicly displayed but they still have to have it in their records.

They were giving me trouble when I wanted credit card info off my account.

Time cards ftw

Would my use of those pre-paid cards bought at my local Best Buy instead of directly using credit cards on the PSN and the continued doing of so keep my mother's credit card information safe?

I have done a little editing, so back off from the flamey remarks and don't push this topic towards a platform war. Thank you.

Please don't call me "a ps3 lover" I'm not trying to sound like a really devoted fan( on the edit ) but as I said excuse me if I don't like having my console of choice critized. Saying his face is irrelevant even if joking is a bit childis :P As for the console debate I understand you have both consoles and I have a close contact with both even though I only own one and yes both have pros and cons, the PS has more pros and less cons than Xbox's IMO

If loving a PS3 is wrong, then I don't want to be right. :hugs:

Oh I gotcha. Same here. The lady kept asking me why and all that jazz. I just told her straight up that time cards were better.

IGN has a new article up where the editors pick what day they think PSN will be back up. A few of them picked June!

Sounds unrealistic for it to take that long. But what do they know anyways.

Yea, that's too long. I'm hoping it's back up by the end of the weekend.

You'd think PSN would do the same thing that Facebook do. They hire people to hack into their network by whatever means necessary. And then solve that particular issue to bolster the network and make it stronger. Seems to me that Sony hasn't just neglected it's customers, but put too much faith in their own system. Now, potentially, people all over the world might have to pay for it, and Sony have made a clause in their terms and conditions that they would not be responsible for loss or misuse of data.

I'm a faithful fan of Sony, and love their stuff, but they are handling this situation horribly.

They do. Look at this.

'Getting any recourse could be tough legally though, as Sony stuck a clause within its terms of service that absolves it of any culpability in the event of data loss. "We exclude all liability for loss of data or unauthorized access to your data, Sony Online Network account or Sony Online Network wallet and for damage caused to your software or hardware as a result of using or accessing Sony Online Network," it reads.'

It's pisses me off.
