PSone Classics?

Post » Sun May 03, 2009 2:24 am

So, I was looking at the games that gamesas have released, and I noticed quite a few were for PSone.

Have you guys considered releasing some of these on the PlayStation store, similar to what you have done with the Wii's Virtual Console? I know for a fact that Sony Computer Entertainment would be happy to release them, as they are really into getting as many PSone titles released on the PSN as possible.

It would give you guys a boost in sales, obviously, and publicity in a way, as both owners of PS3s and PSP will be downloading them.

Just a thought ;) Hope you guys consider it. War... War Never Changes...

It's a possibility, but there aren't any definite plans at this time.

I'm not sure how the games get ported to Playstation3. I mean I know the hardware is there but I'm guessing its an added boot loader of sorts. I think it would be a great idea too cause definitely we need classics on PS3 and PSP too.

Though I'm guessing it will be a little bit though depending on how much change would be needed because though I do want the classics I wouldn't want it the deter the work at hand of the projects and game already in the progress of development.

In other words to everyone else, I think there is a lot on the table right now as it is. Though when some of that load is relieved I'm sure we will see the classics become more available. :ugeek:

P.S. Besides Wii was the first on the list cause of its huge popularity at hand. Sure Playstation 3 has the hardware to put Wii in its grave but Wii has such a huge fan base that amazes most of us gamers today. So look at the Wii as this giant billboard and you see why gamesas gladly stuff it with classics. Also due to the fact that there was a huge load of titles on the SNES to boot. Image
I told the Overseer of Vault 13 I'd give everything to save everyone, and so I did, I saved them all. Since then I've felt loneliness.
