Anybody else have an issue with Fawkes killing people for no reason? It has happened three times. First it was at Girdershade. Walk in to see Sierra and give her some Quantum. I give her the cola, start to leave, she drops into cower mode, and Fawkes guns her down. Then Rivet City. Talking to Vera and he guns her down when I'm done talking. This last time it was at the Purifier. We walk out of the Rotunda, I hear him pull the GL, a scientist starts to run away, and Fawkes guns him down. Each time I had to reload a previous save. I have no clue why he is doing this. They were all friendly to me.

He's just overprotective.

It's just him having a case of the Mondays.

Exactly the reason I never hire him. I temporarily hire him for a one way trip from a certain place, so he can carry all of my crap. Then I fire his green ass immediately. He's attempted to kill me several times, in addition to killing Charon, Jericho and Clover.

I can understand him killing Jericho and Clover, but what did poor Charon do!

Personally not had this sort of problem with him. I often find his gatling laser breaks... or he just makes a lot of noise with it but doesn't actually shoot and do damage. This is fine though becasue he drew in every bad dude near us and I just sneaked away and left him...... until I was far enough away to fast travel out of trouble

I used him as a permanent companion the first time I played through, and the only issue was when a fight suddenly broke out between Fawkes and some freed slaves we had just helped. I assumed it was a glitch (not sure who started it!), and when I reloaded and did the same things it was okay.

And the only time I was told he was dead was in a battle against the slavers, possibly also a glitch.

I have had no problems with Fawkes. He is overprotective. But he shoots enemies really fast.

Sounds like a glitch you had.

Fawkes does that to me to.He goes insane out of no where.He's done that to me in Megaton.Poor,poor,people, they never had a chance, he just gunned them all down with no mercy I tried to stop him by talking to him, and running in to buildings but,but, no matter what I did he just kept shooting!!!! :gun: I was yelling out loud, stop!!! because at the time I had the bad habit of just keeping one autosave for ever campaign, so he pretty much F-up my entire game.I wish I had recorded it,for I could play that song from the movie Platoon,Adagio For Strings, in the background. ALWAYS REMEMBER MEGATON!!!!! I will.

He randomly kilt those rangers that you give fingers to so i took there ears lol.

Maybe, it's just his time of the mouth?

I've never had occurrences like this with Fawkes. I'm a bit jealous I keep hearing him going ballistic in threads such as this one but It's never happened to me. I would like to see his blind mutant rage .

I use him 100% of the time and I have no problems. I love his punch lines!

Know this is an old thread but just had my first "Fawkes goes mad" incident...in Megaton. I was trying to place a Nuka Cola truck on the table outside my house in Megaton when I saw Jericho drop into a sneak position as he approached....Fawkes opened fire, bye-bye Jericho. Other settlers ran in to attack Fawkes. He killed them all. Dog Meat just sat there...both of us were totally stunned. Bad Fawkes, bad bad boy. Re-load time.
