Purchasing a physical copy in a foreign country

Hello peeps,

Before you ask, I have searched through this forum and on google but can't get a clear answer.

Basically I am a Canadian studying abroad in Europe and I wanted to buy Fallout 4 on disk. My Steam account is Canadian and the currency is shown in CAD. I can easily buy games online here in Denmark, no problamo, just like at home. However, if I pick up the retail copy of Fallout 4 in Denmark, will it work with my account? I don't want to be region locked out. As far as I can see on the Steam page for Fallout 4, there are 10 supported languages, none of them being Danish. So I would imagine it would be in English anyways. I am unsure if this is more of a Steam issue or if Bethesda has any say. As to why I am purchasing it here, well I thought about asking a family member back in Canada to buy it for me, leave the case on my desk and just send me the code (I like to collect significant games) via email/phone etc. But it's actually a bit cheaper here considering how weak the CAD is. Plus, it's a bit of a souvenir.

TL:DR I want to buy a physical copy Fallout 4 in Denmark, will it work with my Canadian / NA Steam account?

Thanks in advance,

Slaughtahouse

It will probably work, yeah.

Bethesda tend to send me US retail copies of their published games, and I can register them just fine on my Steam account here in Sweden.

Yeah, games published in the Nordic countries are in English.

EDIT: Oh yeah, 4-5 years ago I bought two cheap swedish retail copies of Prey. Used one myself, and gave the other Steam code to a US friend of mine and trashed the physical copy, and he was able to download and play the game just fine.

Thank you Freddo for the response.

Sounds promising, still it seems like it's not 100% clear but at least it will be in English. I doubt it will be an issue but just want to confirm (if possible) before I lay down 420 DKK.
