Pure Stealther

Didn't get too far into the beta, but are there any pure stealth abilities that keep you in stealth mode? I got the abilities to go invisible for 2.5 seconds.

Does that make you disappear in other peoples screen? I hate to compare but I'm thinking of something similar to stealth on a rogue in WoW. Not sure if sneaking is what made you go invis

Yes, but you can be detected if the enemy is in a certain radius or uses Magelight. You have to be smart about it.
I have no idea how stealth works in WoW, sorry.

Tbh I haven't seen anything in the videos on how it actually works in PVP or how effective it is. But you can assume it makes you invisible to other players...not sure if you are invisible to friendlies too (doubt it).

But one this that has been shown/said is that once you make an attack, you are brought right out of stealth. So its good for the 1st attack only...which makes sense (although a bit of a downer for us that played TES stealth classes lol :P).

I not quite sure about this but could swear its what happened in one of the video's....if you are attacked in stealth, you come right out of it. The question remains...how were you attacked if you were in stealth? Is there a skills/potion that helps detect stealth? Or did the player just come out of stealth by himself (probably the more logical answer).

I must say Magelight is very nicely animated not to mention it's utility, they've done a great job encouraging players to at least evaluate the importance of in-Guilds' incredible abilities.

Is that guy using an ability to stealth like that or is he just in sneak mode. If all you have to do is level up sneak and while you're in sneak mode you go stealth in pvp then that is pretty BA. Thinking back to DAoC, stealther archer was so much fun. Waiting in the back and pick off the sorcs and healers in sieges

He's in sneak mode. There nos "level up sneak" like single players TES. In fact, In some skill trees and racial trees you can upgrade it.

You can go back to stealh but you need to get some distance in order to be effective.

When you enter stealth mode your character will stay visible to you maybe go a bit darker in colour.

To the enemy they will fade away as the eye closes, once they get closer you will seem to shimmer into focus.

There are passive skills that will decrease the stealth detection radius in medium armour and give you faster stamina regen to allow you to move further in stealth. The nightblade does have some "from Stealth " abilities as well that do stun and damage.

Beware though everyone can stealth and as someone who played a mage wearing medium armour and using a two handed sword it was fun to go 1v1 against other players.

I also think Magelight is overpowered as a toggle ability and needs to be increased in magicka usage or on a timer.

Or you need the Nightblade ability to go invisible so you can get in another stealth strike. Tactical use of Cloak of Shadows (is that the right one?) is devastating.
