Can someone tell me if there is a way to purify like sugar bombs or any of the other food that has rads and it

Why use the food at all? its not needed in game? just ignore it like everyone else does. Im not even sure why they wasted all that time making food if its useless.

If we had hunger/thirst old food would be useful - if you were starving, you'd be forced to take the Rad hit. As it stands, old food is exactly as you say - useless junk that gets dumped immediately.

I miss hunger/thirst. Nice to not have to dedicate inventory space to food, tho, so there's that.

Also miss that mechanic, its one of the things that made it feel like we were surviving, seems an odd core gameplay mechanic to ditch since its what people loved to hate about the game. Just feels to generic without some of those key elements that made actually collecting things a requirement. Now there is no need to pick up anything ever except ammo, since generic players or casuals dont care about building a settlement, haha. Kinda kills that whole exploration aspect the game had goin for it with us.

take the lead belly perk only 2 ranks & when maxed out you'll take no rads from any source of food or drink

Can convert Dirty Water to Purified Water with the Cooking Station. Not sure how you would be able to get radiation out of something complex like food. Use radaway on your food? But it seems extremely wasteful when it is far more efficient to use radaway on yourself every day or two.

I was just wondering if I could purify it. If not I'll just use it for trade as I can cook all the kill stuff which takes the rads out of it.

Food restores an insane amount of health in this game - it's not useless.

I know, it was a god-send early on in the game, especially as I didn't find that many stimpaks in the beginning. Not so much of an issue now although I still find myself picking it up whenever I can...just in case.

Food gives you buffs.

Stimpaks are expensive as [censored]. Who ignores food? Food is amazing in this game. Get out.

It'll be useful when we get a Needs mod. Then food will lose its healing ability and just cover basic needs.

And there will probably be a purifier mod too.

I would bank them. In Fallout 3 there was a ghoul that would trade you ultra-jet for sugar bombs. Never know what might happen in the next DLC.

Even with hunger I tend to have to kill so much animals that I have more rad free food than I need. Since I prefer to use it to heal up after fights I would rarely get hungry. Like the Skyrim needs mod who was mostly for immersion.
