You can't loot bodies the same way as you would in Skyrim.
In Witcher when you kill somebody their body tend to disappear and a loot bag appear, from it you can get some random items, which aren't always the items you saw on your enemy. While in Skyrim if you saw a nice armor or weapon on the enemy, you can probably loot it from them and it will be shown on the body.

And from what I've seen, NPCs are pretty static, they don't tend to react to you. Best way to prove otherwise if you can attack them :P

And I've seen a couple loading screens too...

Ah!, but saying "you can't loot bodies" and saying "you can't loot bodies the same as you would in Skyrim" is two different things, no?
And no, in Witcher you can't just attack anyone you want, simply because it is a story-driven game and the main character has an established background and it would not make any sense within the plot of the game. Yet, people know who you are, and acknowledge you when you walk by, and guards react to you when you pull out a weapon, or make snide comments when you try talking to them...

The mechanics of Witcher are different from the mechanics of Skyrim, period. because they are 2 different games. That doesn't mean one's better than the other. But if doing tehe "whose is bigger" routine, I'd probably choose Two Worlds II or Risen and not Witcher 2.

Am I the only one who doesn't find TW2's graphics insanely good? For me, the more photorealistic the graphics are, the better they are, and I don't find TW2's photorealistic (And I've beaten the game on max settings, no ultra though, but still). And the stupid fog that covers distant objects is rather bad idea for game like Skyrim. Oh, and I'd better wait and look at the loading screen than see the textures loading on the go as I did plenty of times in this game.
BTW, do you remember the devs said there will be only four loading screens during the whole game? I do. But there were a few of them even within one chapter.

Still, I loved the game, pity that it's much shorter then it's predecessor and has less side quests...

Anyway, I don't care about any ubersampling, because my PC will not be able to handle it anyway :sadvaultboy:

One more "comparison" thread has turned into VS thread. Where's the popcorn?

Especially that last chapter, that was short. Also, they did away with neutrality. And my biggest gripe, the interface was "optimized" for a game pad, meaning they crippled it for PC.

I do agree that the graphics aren't "insanely" good, but I have to say, they did a very good job of squeezing those out of DX9. I never saw textures loading as I went, though.

it's the most flawless game engine out prove me wrong

I will disagree with that..

There is 100000x more texture pop in in TW2 than any game I have ever played. Heck sometimes textures take minutes to load or never do.. Also the engine has a huge flaw and thats in the way it loads the textures. They put that weird way of having to constantly open doors for a reason and thats because the engine needs time to keep loading textures as you move.

While CDP engine looks really nice it is really flawed and will never be capable of building or handling a large open world like that of Gothic or TES.

Edit : And there are loading screens in TW2.. I have had one come up several times while playing.

The one thing I wish Skyrim would have is tessellation.. Thats the next big jump in tech IMO.
