SPOILERS AHOY!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm trying to do the Legion version the quest, but my rep with the NCR is too low for Hsu to trust me, so I talked to Curtis and Boyd about stuff, and where am I now is bugged. I have 3 quest blips - Hsu, the comms tower, and the monorail. I have the contents of the trash can near the ticket booth. I talked to Curtis and told him Hsu doesn't trust me, so we skipped the framing of Pvt. Crenshaw (wasn't that the name of Ashur's 2nd in The Pitt?) and I told him about having a lead, someone is breaking into the comms tower at night. 2 problems - nobody shows up at the comms tower (I've waited 6pm to 6am three times so far). Problem 2 is that when I ninja into the monorail station, instead of letting me walk into the tram, the game prompts me to hit E to take the monorail to Vegas. I can't physically go into the tram to plant the bomb, and when I try to peek through a window, I slide off and hit the ground. I've tried reloading saves and restarting the game, but nothing has worked.

I jumped up on the rail; ran over to the door way - found and then deactivated the bomb; got the "completed quest" and then watched the tram blow up anyway (with a deactivated bomb).... It's extremely bugged.


Found a hint on the wiki - jump up on the rail; go in the train - deactivate the bomb - jump back UP ON the rail to get out... Bomb will never go off (supposedly).
So that didn't work: did as it said: on the rail - in the train - deactivated - jumped on the rail to the door; and Hsu wouldn't give me anything new until I walked back out - and watched the train blow up. :/

So there was only one way to get around it (I had to reload an older save): Find out about the leak - go to the tower - wait outside for the bad guy to go in - sneak in - listen - and finally go from there.

(sorry to keep that fairly short; but I didn't want to give away too much of a spoiler.)

lol well my problem was that I couldn't get into the tram at all to do anything, I was blocked by an invisible wall of some sort. I ended up using the tcl noclip function to clip thru the magical wall-o-not-being-there and everything panned out ok afterwards.

This quest is definitely bugged to high heaven. I managed to defuse the bomb and the monorail did not actually explode, but the game thinks it has. Hsu was all like 'Doh! Oh well you did your best' and random NCR dudes now constantly whine about their precious ex-monorail.

You actually found the bomb? Dang.. Every time I go through the door to the outside the train takes off and exsplodes. I used TURBO and actually got onto the tram [took 4 tries to get in] then the tram took off and I fell thru the back end of the tram to the rail. Never did see any bomb anywhere [PC version]..

But since you all say it doesnt matter what you do then that is just 1 quest that will never get done..

what I did was kill the guy in the room once I found out it was him in the tower. I stealth in found the note in his desk also on the computer. go up and bam right between the eyes. once you do that they don't fire at you as long as your stealth. then head out do a couple of mission out in the waste NCR related. Like the in camp golf and then come back once your liked by them they talk about how your a hero for taking out camp nelson, and etc. and the bomb quest all gone. you can also do some of the King mission, caravan mission to up your stats with the NCR.
