may be the command to set your current objective to "Eavesdrop on the radio transmission." For those of us who snuck into the radio tower but just had the spy sit there, this may do the trick.

so i had something even stranger happen to me. After i got the quest, i went and talked to the person who was investigating it, curtis or something. And in the middle of our conversation, he starts going off about having a fall guy and wanting me to plant the bomb and how ill be serving the legion. This is the first time I have spoken to him, moments after getting the quest. And now in my quest log it wants me to investigate the comm tower and go and retrieve a bomb to plant on the monorail. Note i did kill the officers at camp forlorn hope for the legion guys in nelson.

Didn't work.

Interestingly, when I tried

getstage 000e790f

which is supposed to tell you what step of the quest you're on, it returned a result of 0, indicating that I didn't have that quest?

Something is up.

Can someone tell me how I can even find the Control Tower? I don't know how to get into it or by the airplanes ya'll are mentioning.

I've completed this quest. The monorail didn't explode, I used my science skill to diffuse the bomb and then re-entered the station to talk to Hsu, but no dialogue option comes up regarding the quest.
Looking around on the forum I spend most time on (The Escapist), people have noted it makes a difference HOW you go about the quest, so I'll note that.
-When I entered the tower, Curtis noticed me and attacked me. So I didn't eavesdrop.
-Upon killing Curtis, I entered the station to talk to Hsu. He told me to go stop the monorail from exploding, so I went. I saved on the escalator heading up to the second floor of the station, before exiting the building to where the monorail is. My other two saves would take me back at least 10 hours.
-I diffused the bomb and went back in the station. The monorail didn't explode, the voice on the comm didn't say it was about to depart either.
-I go to talk to Hsu and theres no dialogue option for the quest.

I get the feeling that I'm just going to have to accept that I'm not going to get to truly finish this quest. Does it affect later gameplay or the story much? I'm trying to support the Followers of the Apocalypse first, with NCR given the second highest priority, and a decision made in a previous quest in favor of the Followers made me lose NCR respect. So I would really like to have this quest finished.

The problem is that leaving this quest unfinished directly effects another quest and means you can't finish that one either.

I've managed to use console commands to bypass the listening to the radio transmission and am up to reporting to Hsu after the monorail has been saved, but there is no dialogue option to complete the mission. Is there a console command that can help me here?
