1. DESCRIPTION
==================
Taking a cue from Fallout New Vegas and Oblivion, Put That Thing Away adds both a run speed penalty when wielding a two-handed weapon, and a speech, barter and disposition penalty when any weapon is draw. The intent is for these effects to be subtle to the point where you don't notice you're playing with the mod. You only notice when it's taken away.
Both elements of the mod are configurable.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
While every effort has been made to thoroughly test this mod, I am only one man and cannot replicate every situation and mod configuration that a wide variety of players can. As such, although I feel it is completely stable and safe, PTTA should be CONSIDERED IN BETA for the time being.
That being said, I've been playing with it for quite some time and haven't had any issues.
==================
2. REQUIREMENTS
==================
Put That Thing Away requires the latest version of the Fallout Script Extender (FOSE).
You can download the latest version of FOSE http://fose.silverlock.org/.
The FWE (Fallout Wanderers Edition) version requires http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2761.
==================
3. INSTALLATION/UNINSTALLATION
==================
Installation:
-Extract the contents of the archive into your "...fallout 3\Data" folder.
-In the Data Files section of the Fallout 3 Launcher - or using a mod manager like [src="http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=640%5DFallout Mod Manager%5B/url%5D - place a tick in the box next to "Put That Thing Away.esp" OR "Put That Thing Away - FWE.esp".
Load order should not have any impact on PTTA.
NOTE(1): Only use 1 (ONE) of the incuded ESPs.
NOTE(2): As PTTA is still in Beta, it is important that you make a safe save before loading PTTA. You should not overwrite this saved game while using PTTA. (Better safe that sorry. )
Uninstallation:
IMPORTANT: While it is extremely unlikely to have any detremental affects, it is very important that before uninstalling PTTA you make a clean save.
To make a clean save:
-Load your game.
-Open the PTTA Config Menu.
-Turn off both the speech and, more importantly, the running module.
-Save your game.
You may now safely uninstall PTTA.

4. PLAYING THE MOD
==================
Both modules are on by default. To configure them, use the menu item at the bottom of the aid tab in your inventory.
Speech Module Options:
-Disposition & Skills (Default)
People will like you less when you have a weapon drawn. In addition, your speech and barter skills are lowered by 10 when you have a weapon drawn.
-Disposition Only
People will like you less when you have a weapon drawn.
-Turn Speech Mod Off
Disables the speech mod. Can be enabled through the configuration menu.
Running Module Options:
-Turn Strength Modifier On/Off
When ON the strength modifier changes your speed penalty depending on how strong your character is. Stronger characters will be able to run faster with a weapon out than weaker characters. However, even with a strength of 10 your character will still be slower than normal with a two-handed weapon out. The formula: base modifier + (-5 + strength)
The strength modifier is turned on by default.
-Enable/Disable effect while sprinting (FWE version only)
When disabled you will not be penalised for wielding a two-handed weapon while sprinting.
-Change Base Modifier
Lets you alter the base speed penalty for weilding a two-handed weapon. Setting range from -10 (mild) through the default -20 and up to -30 (harsh).

5. KNOWN CONFLICTS
==================
None known at this time, although it is likely that this mod will conflict with other mods that seek to do a similar thing.

6. CREDITS
==================
-geckwiki
-Cipsis for his excellent tutorials and utilities. In particular the PTTA menu relies heavily on his menu tutorial.
-Lork/NAME. I could not have made this if I didn't have Lork's mod to refer to.
-Project Nevada team. Elements (crucial ones at that) of the running script were taken from Project Nevada.
-The mod community in general.
