Puzzle Box

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 3:17 am

I think I might have a glich . I haven't played MW for several years since Oblivion came out but now I can't find the puzzle box . I have checked the walk through but no luck . It seems to be gone . I tried to add it to my inventory with the command Player->AddItem "misc_dwrv_artifact_ils" 1 . The command turned blue as it should but it is not in my inventory . Would someone please tell me how to move on with the quest ? Thanks, Hagar

Just making sure you've found the right room - When you go down the first walkway in the Dwemer ruin, there's a raised platform at the bottom directly to your left that will lead you right up to the right place. It took me ages to find it.

The ID for the cube is misc_dwrv_ark_cube00

What you now have in your inventory is Drinar Varyon's Dwemer Tube. :P

Thinks to both of you . I did find a "tube" in my inventory but I did not notice the difference . That would mean the "Wiki" is wrong as that is where I found the command I quoted .

As to the first reply when I read the walk through it referred to "the cells of hollowhand" and I searched the entire area carefully but no box . I never have had a problem with this until now .

I think on coming old age may have been involved . Hopefully I have some "High Elf" DNA in my background . lol

You can just walk up the tumble of rocks near the bottom of the the ramp you came down, right up to the platform. The quest is one of several where you need to think in 3 dimensions, which I found to be a refreshing little twist on the too-familiar and obvious "kill x, get z" without even telling you "y" quests in most games.
