PyFFi?

I was just wondering, is running http://pyffi.sourceforge.net/ on Morrowind meshes a good idea? Does it work the same as running it on Oblivion meshes, or does it maybe cause problems? I did some searching, but couldn't find very much info.

I don't think anyone has tried. Unless a mod has come out in the last half year (which is when I stopped being as active).

Don't know what exactly you mean with running PyFFI on meshes, but PyFFI is one of the applications required for use with Blender and Python and definately works for Morrowind!!! ;)

From what i've read on Oblivion forum, "running PyFFi" on Obliv meshes is some kind of opitimizing them, remowing duplicated and empty data form mesh, fixing model errors etc. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1082438-inforelz-pyffi-python-file-format-interface/

@Minamir, yea that's what I was talking about. Shoulda been more clear, I guess. PyFFi comes with a "niftoaster" which can be used to optimize Oblivion's Nif's. http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Nif_Optimization some more info on it. And it makes a considerable difference in performance, which got me wondering if anyone had tried it on Morrowind. I was just leery of doing it myself as I don't know much at all about making models. I thought that Morrowind and Oblivion Nif's were different from each other (TriStrips and TriShapes?), and was afraid of borking something by trying. Probably be best if I just leave them alone.
